Hey!

We’re Lucy and James, two twenty-somethings from the UK currently living in the North West of England. We have both been working in Medical Communications for the past 5 years - James as a project manager and Lucy as a Scientific Director (medical writing). We are ready to make a change so in January we will be heading off on an adventure! We will be starting in Chile for around 3 months, flying into Santiago and then making our way down to Patagonia.

We are excited to get away from our desks, meet new people, and experience a different culture. We are both starting to learn Spanish and are looking forward to learning first hand in a Spanish-speaking country.

A bit about us: we both love being outdoors and anything to do with animals. James is a very keen rock climber and is excited to discover the climbing communities in Chile, whilst Lucy has been riding and looking after horses pretty much since she could walk. We also love hiking, paddleboarding, yoga, and are learning to surf.

We’re very easy going but also like to keep busy so are keen to work and help out while we travel. James is very organised, loves reading and writing, and working with people; he has been a climber for all his life and worked as a climbing instructor so would love to share his passion with others. Lucy worked for many years with horses, including at a horse-riding school, so is great with animals and kids. She also loves cooking, and worked in a hotel in St Anton, Austria, so she’s a dab hand at cleaning and hospitality.
