My name is Louie, I am 22 years old from the United States! I am doing a solo backpacking trip after having graduated with a bachelors in anthropology and working for a year to save up money as a kindergarten para. I am open to all kinds of work, I don't really have anything I wouldn't be willing to try, but I especially love working with kids and doing any sort of project with my hands (gardening, farming, building, etc).
I am also very drawn to the culture of travelling, backpacking and human mobility in general from an anthropological research perspective, so I am hoping to have many conversations regarding this topic, with other backpackers, hosts, and anyone else who wants to share!
I have done a two workaways in the past, which drew me back to it again these few years later. I love staying with hosts who enjoy getting to know volunteers, and as a volunteer (and person) I am curious, outgoing, patient and love to learn. I love to cook, eat, be outside, film, read, play sports, and talk.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I am very good with kids, from infants a couple months old to older children, because of my experiences in child care.
I have a lot of experience doing yard work and house maintenance because I have helped my dad for years with taking care of and fixing things in our own house as well as others, and because of work trips with my church where we did projects involving labor work.
I am a quick learner so new tasks are usually not too much sweat.
