Hi, my name is Leah!
I am 20 years old and was studying Special Needs Education and Philosophy in Erfurt (Germany). However, after one year i have decided that I have to take a new direction for my personal development. That's why I'm doing my first Work and Travel! :)

My goals are to improve my French/learn to speak it again and I am open to learning new things and would be happy to pursue my interests.

In my free time I like to spend time with animals, especially horses. Although I haven't ridden for a few years, I took care of horses and theirs foals several times a week for half a year. I also tool part in ground work and horsemanship courses and would like to extend my skills in that field. But I also have experience of working in the cultural sector because I worked in a German music academy for six months after my A-levels, where I also supported the team in a kind of hotel business, working at the reception.

Apart from that, I enjoy reading, painting, handicrafts, photography, writing my own texts and poems and playing the violin. I also like to deal with social issues such as equal rights or other sociological/philosophical questions. I grew up in a household with different forms of faith and with an immigrant background because my father was born in Chile. This has made me a very open-minded person and has led to me also being very open and interested in different people and ways of life.
I'm very much looking forward to my Workaway experience and meeting new people :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

Besides my love for animals and my knack for interacting with other people I'm quiet practically inclined and like to build things and I would be very interested in learning more about crafting. At the beginning of 2025 I started to take part in courses for ground work with horses and I plan to further develop my skills in handling and training horses, also as part of my workaway trips.
