Hello, my name is Lavinia, and I’m a 23-year-old Italian student from Florence. I’m currently studying languages and literature at the University of Florence, focusing on English and Japanese. I have a strong passion for discovering new cultures and travelling the world.

I’ve had the opportunity to travel to different parts of Europe thanks to the support of my family, and I love immersing myself in diverse cultures. I hope to build authentic connections with local people and learn practical new skills while exploring alternative lifestyles.

I consider myself a kind and reliable person. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano as a hobby. I absolutely love spending time with children and experimenting in the kitchen by cooking new dishes every day, especially desserts. I also enjoy being in close contact with nature and consider myself a very creative person—I love painting! I’m always enthusiastic about learning new things and adapt easily to new environments.

I would like to take part in this experience because I am eager to improve my English skills to support my university studies and enhance my academic journey.

As a native Italian speaker, I can teach Italian to children or anyone interested in learning the language. Additionally, I have been studying Japanese extensively as part of my university degree, and I am capable of teaching the fundamentals of the language. I would also love to share insights about Japanese culture and traditions with those who are curious to learn more. On the other hand, I am very eager to improve my English skills during this experience. Enhancing my English proficiency is a key goal for me, as it will greatly support my university studies and academic growth.

I have developed a wide range of skills through my experiences and passions, making me a versatile and motivated individual.

I am skilled in working with children, having provided tutoring for elementary, middle, and high school students in various subjects. This experience has helped me develop patience, effective communication, and the ability to adapt my teaching approach to different age groups and learning needs. I truly enjoy helping children learn and grow.

Additionally, I gained valuable experience working at an ice cream shop during the summer. This role taught me responsibility, teamwork, and customer service skills, as I interacted with a variety of people in a fast-paced environment.

I am passionate about cooking, especially experimenting with new dishes and baking desserts, which allows me to express my creativity. My love for the outdoors and nature inspires me to take on practical tasks such as gardening and other hands-on activities. I am also a creative person who enjoys painting as a way to relax and explore new ideas.

I have been playing the piano for 5 years, and I am confident in my ability to teach it to others, sharing my love for music and helping them learn this beautiful instrument.

I have strong language skills, being fluent in Italian and currently studying English and Japanese at university. This has not only improved my linguistic abilities but also taught me how to learn efficiently and adapt to new challenges. I look forward to further enhancing my English skills during this experience.
