Help with DIY tasks and experience rural village life in Messimeri, Greece

  I am now a widow spending months in Greece in the summer. My house, in a small Greek village, is cool and spacious, with a very large garden, 5mins from lots of beautiful, unspoiled non-touristy beaches and 25 miles from Thessaloniki. I just call it 'paradise'! But I need help with maintenance - one son and family live in Greece, but are just too busy to help much.

  Time spent in a 'real' Greek village will provide a real insight into the culture, way of life, cuisine and, maybe, even the language. Cultural activities arre reduced in the summer when the weather is hot, but there are plenty of tourist attractions in the area and the city of Thessaloniki is only 30k away. And there are the beaches! I have lived here for 40 years, and so know the way of life and language well.

  I need someone withpractical skills for a variety of indoor and outdoor jobs - maintaining,repairing. problem solving, creating.. some jobs are straightforward (eg varnishing shutters), others require some skill with tools and a Heath Robinson approach! I am happy to share tasks - maybe learn how to use tools better but equally happy to keep out of the way!
  I would also like to be tutored to use my phone/tablet better!

  Acomodação

  Accommodation is a private suite with bathroom, shared use of lounge, kitchen, terrace and garden. Meals and their preperation to be shared by arrangement. Shopping to be treated as a cultural experience!

  Shared use of a manual-drive car ( clean driving licence essential). There is a regular bus service to local towns/villages and the city. No public transport to most beaches, so driving is essential.
  No nightlife except in the city, so a liking for cards/board games or reading is an advantage.
  Internet available but not for streaming. Very limited English language TV - but loads of books!
