Hi, I’m Kylie! I am currently on a yearlong trip around the world with my partner, Bryce. I love to travel and explore new areas. My favorite pastimes are going on hikes or backpacking trips, and eating ice cream :) Before I left on this trip, I worked as an Environmental Consultant in California. I love nature, and trying to make the world a better place, especially environmentally, motivates me. I am new to this site, but very excited to help out our future host, and I have always wanted to go to New Zealand for all it’s scenery!

I love Spanish and would love to improve - I’m low intermediate. I can read most things, but am worse at having conversations. Bryce is just starting to learn Japanese, and is interested in learning more.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Kylie’s Skills: I have a good amount of experience with gardening, childcare, miscellaneous environmental work, etc. I used to babysit during my teens, I worked for a year at a plant nursery, and my jobs after university included environmental field work. I have some basic experience with household and construction projects (I’ve helped someone build a gate, I know how to paint and clean, etc.) and I love learning new things, especially interested in gaining more construction experience.

Bryce’s Skills: Bryce worked as a software engineer before this trip, so his experience is different. He knows how to program, is good at math, etc. but most importantly is willing to learn all new skills and is a hard worker. I (Kylie) can vouch that he is amazing with kids - he has two young cousins he looks after/plays with a lot. He has miscellaneous experience helping with household and repair tasks, like cleaning, painting, etc.

We are both open-minded, curious individuals hoping to learn a lot and help a lot during our workaway. I am a planner, while Bryce is a go-with-the-flow person, and we work really well together as a team. We’re both goofy and like keeping things fun and positive, while being hardworking.
