Hello, my name is Kaluna and I’m 27. I’ve been planning this trip for the last year. I wish to experience more solo travelling as I did in 2023 in Central America.

I was born in Kawasaki, Japan but my family and I moved to France when I was 5. Unfortunately I don’t speak Japanese anymore as none of my parents are Japanese. My mom is actually Canadian and my dad is French. I speak both English and French and my Spanish is pretty good :)

I studied fashion but I am more passionate about costume making and textile design (crochet, tapestry). I also paint occasionally and I wish I did more often.. I’m quite a Krafty girl. I love learning new techniques and skills.

I have had a couple of experiences with workaway in Mexico and in Guatemala. I mostly worked in ranches because I love horses and animals in general. I also worked in a small kitchen in Tsununá (around the Atitlan lake, Guatemala) and in a camping (in Masunte, Oaxaca)
I have experience in childcare. First, in Prague for almost a year with 2 sisters, aged 7 and 8 and then in Marseille with a 7 year old girl. During my time with them, I helped them with homework, picked them up at school, cooked meals, do creative home activities like baking cookies, drawing. I took them to kids events or to the museum etc…
I also can take care of toddlers because I have a younger brother who’s only 3 and a half.

I’m opened to any new experience. I would love to help around and learn for new people and also learn some Japanese.

I would like to learn Japanese because I used to speak it when I was very little but I lost all of it because we moved to France when I was 5.. I would be glad to teach some French or English

Quais são suas habilidades?

My parents own a restaurant so I’m quite familiar with working in the kitchen and customer service and hospitality.
I studied fashion, I love making costumes, and upcycling my clothes. I’m a creative person so I will always enjoy doing things with my hands :)
I love kids and I’ve had several experiences in childcare, short and long term experiences.
I am a dynamic person that loves to learn new things.. I would love to learn more about gardening, and house renovation because I’m curious about it for the future but I am open to many things if the experience is interesting and the collaboration goes well :)
