Hi,

my name is Julia, I'm 33 yrs old and a nature enthusiast. I like spending time outdoors and around animals, doing sports, hiking in the mountains or working in my veggie garden. I have a dog who travels with me - a super calm, friendly Elo, who does not bark or hunt and is well trained). I also enjoy cooking healthy meals or baking occasionally.

In 2025 I'm travelling together with my boyfriend Lukas and dog Lavara to discover different regions of Italy, learn Italian & meet new friends. We are dreaming of building a small farm ourselves one day and would like to get some experience beforehand.

For workaway-projects I think I can be helpful with a variety of tasks, those outdoors and with animals, or cleaning and tidying up spaces, growing veggies and tending to gardens, cooking...I am looking for places where I can harmonise the hours of tasks for the host with my work schedule (I work 3 days remotely for a company, mostly time-flexible).

At home I'm an instructor for sports courses (high intensity intervall training) and relaxation courses, I'm happy to share some knowledge in this area or do workouts together/offer workouts for your guests (if you have holiday accom. for example).

Professionally I work as a research assistant in the field of Health Promotion (so all about healthy lifestyle choices) (digital/remote).

My first travel experience has been a while ago now, in 2011-2012 after finishing school, I spent a gap-year travelling in Australia, doing for example some polo-grooming, some work in a backpacker hostel and a job as a live-in nanny for a family with 2 children. During my years of study I volunteered in different projects/or with different familys, for example an organic farmstay with Projecte Miranda in Spain (via a different platform: help x). On the mountain place of Pla de l'orri, which is where this wonderful place is located, I took care of the animals (chicken, 11 dogs, donkeys, 35 rescue horses, cats), fixing fences, cutting fire wood, painting, weeding in the veggie garden. Another more recent , wonderful workaway expericence was on an Austrian sheep farm - I'm still in touch with them, if you like to ask them for a feedback, I can pass on contact details.

I am always interested in learning new skills (especially in the area of sustainability , I would love to learn about eco-construction, permaculture, e.g. - but really also any other skill).

I'm a calm, responsible and organised person, I enjoy to be around people, but can also work on tasks independently. We travel by car.
