I’m Jan a retired Interior Designer with a love of gardening and DIY projects.
A total Francophile with a reasonable knowledge of the language that I am very keen to improve. My husband and I always dreamed of one day retiring to France but sadly he died some years ago and I’m now looking for new challenges, opportunities and adventures.
I’m independent, physically fit, in excellent health and love being outdoors. I’m extremely practical and have a good grasp of DIY skills. I’m a competent seamstress and maker of soft furnishings. I’m also very handy with a paint brush!! I love organising and decluttering, cooking and entertaining. I’m an avid bridge player, reader and walker. I love to travel - see new places, meet people and savour new experiences. Happy to turn my hand to most things and put myself out of my comfort zone.

I have good DIY skill and will have a go at most projects. I’m a skilled curtain maker and have a love of soft furnishings all learned through my career as an Interior Designer. I love to garden and have a good knowledge of garden plants but am always keen to learn more.
