Happy and helpful worker with lots of experience and a range of skills. Friendly and likes meeting new people and living an alternative lifestyle.
Through workaway last year I had lots of amazing experiences and learned so much.
I’ve worked with animals, with the elderly, with tourism, cultural resurgence projects, event planning, social outreach, housekeeping, cooking, gardening and so much more.
I love the freedom of the workaway life and I love the feeling of contributing to a greater cause.
This is my favourite way to travel as I feel I gain a better insight into the place I am staying and can connect with the local people and take part in activities I would never get the opportunity to otherwise.

Heather came on board to help us with two projects in the office, one being to set us up to find more workawayers and volunteers, the other to help in conceiving a sponsorship programme.
Her work was excellent and has set us on the road to establishing an initiative that will help many of the families we work with. Gracias Heather!

Helping here was a very rewarding experience. I loved living in Antigua and appreciated the opportunity to help a really worthwhile cause. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to experience Guatemala and do good things at the same time!

This is definitely more than the average workaway experience: it is an intentional community with an honest and open atmosphere, that strives to welcome everybody and comes together to help each other on the path of personal development.

Best Workaway experience ever!
Would 100% recommend, Joe is an awesome person and the Lodge is a magical place on an even more magical island.
I am so grateful for the amazing experiences I have had this summer, and can’t express how special this place is and how much I have gained from being there.

Bill is an extremely kind and generous man.
His house is beautiful and the location could not be more idyllic.
The cats are friendly too!
Listening to the amazing stories from Bill’s life was certainly a highlight, and he also taught me how to do the cryptic crossword, for which I will be forever grateful.

Jon and Tim are fantastic hosts, extremely kind and generous and great people to work for.
The lodge is a really beautiful place, with lots of wildlife and scenery on the doorstep.

I had a really good time here. The work was fair and we were given plenty of free time to explore the local area which is just stunning. The loch and the woodland are really magical.
