BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF MYSELF :

One of my main interests in life is ecological matters, I'm passionate about questions related to sustainability. It's also my job, I'm a research engineer in the environmental and energy field. So if you're also interested in this topic, I would love to talk about it with you!

I also love sports, especially outdoor ones. I mostly practice climbing, hiking, and biking. Therefore I have good energy and good physical condition (in good shape to help you !)

Another important topic in my life is zen meditation (meditation, mindfulness...). I immersed myself in that topic when I was traveling in Nepal (7 years ago) and I never stopped learning and practicing since. Finding inner peace is one one my daily tasks now. This is one one the reasons why I am attracted by cultures and philosophies related to this way of thinking and living.

I also (re)started drawing recently because I felt the desire to add a creative activity in my life, I plan to draw a lot during my trip! If you have children, it will be a pleasure for me to draw with them if they enjoy it too!

I read a lot and listen to a lot of podcasts, I'm curious and I love to learn and understand new things. I'm open-minded and able to talk about a lot of topics.

I have been living with a lot of different roomates through the past few years, hence I'm used to live with other people and to respect and understand the needs of everyone.


WHY DO I WANT TO VOLONTEER ?

I plan to do a long trip through Japan and then several countries in Southeast Asia. This way of travelling is for me perfect to meet and share with local people. I'm also convinced that most of the hosts are open-minded, generous and inspiring people ! I like the idea of sharing a small common path of our lives.
I also want to experience something different than standard tourism, something more genuine and peaceful.

I'have been living on my own for several years and I can therefore do all the household tasks/chores.

I can do some craft/DIY tasks also, I built dry toilets for a music festival years ago !

I can draw and paint !

I can help with cooking or preparing food !

I also love doing gardening ! I had my own small garden the last past two summers !
