Hei. I'm Harriet, 24 years old, originally from Germany but currently residing in Austria. My friends describe me as honest, curious and flexible.

I first studied European Studies and am now doing my Master's in Global Studies. I got to know a lot of theoretical knowledge about Europe and the world - now it's time complete my image with practical experiences.

For me, Workaway means getting in contact with new people, cultures, languages. I am curious to experience new ways of life and to learn new things!

Learning other languages inspires me. It is always interesting to find out if there are any parallels to the languages I already speak. Last time I was on a workaway trip, I learned the local language afterwards! :)

Quais são suas habilidades?

I like to help in the garden, with DIY projects and/or general housework. I love cooking and trying out new receipes. I take pleasure from working with animals. Since I am a communicative person I also enjoy working with people of all ages. Due to the possession of a driving license, driving tasks are also possible.

My hobbies are mostly in the field of sports. I played table tennis in a sports club for 10 years and am also interested in badminton or volleyball. In summer, I cycle almost every day along the river of my hometown. Hiking, if the landscape allows it, is also one of my favourite things to do!

Other that that I am interested in international politics, society and culture.

I used Workaway for the first time in 2023, spent seven weeks in Norway and three in Iceland. During this time I got to know many wonderful people and experienced many new things. I am really looking forward to further experiences of this kind. Work&travel is a distinctive abroad experience and provides a unique cultural exchange that would not be possible with a 10-day package holiday!
