Descrição

Hi, we’re Marta and Pedro, from a small coastal village in Portugal. We’ve known each other since we were little, around 10 years old. Back then, Pedro’s favorite hobbies included riding his bike, hanging out with friends, and playing the piano. I (Marta) spent my time listening to music, writing, and drawing. After a few years apart, with each of us pursuing different paths, we reconnected and found that our interests and hobbies were pretty much the same as before!
Now, at 27 and 26, we’ve moved in together, worked together, and gone on road trips. As we grow into adulthood, we continue to help each other reconnect with our art on a deeper level. Together, we share moments and dreams, slowly overcoming the fear of failure and learning to appreciate the process.
Our goal with future Workaway experiences is to continue growing through new experiences and knowledge. We’re excited to bring what we learn back home, where we’re starting to dive into agriculture and a few other creative projects.
We believe that by following our instincts, and with dedication and time, things will come naturally.

The way I see him (This might be a bit biased, but...):
He’s funny and, when he’s confident, knows how to light up a room effortlessly. He’s generous and kind-hearted, always ready to share with others. Patience can be a challenge for someone as creatively driven as he is, but he’s incredibly handy and clever in everything he does.

The way I see her:
Shy and intelligent, she has a rare talent for capturing the essence of my creative thoughts in just a few words. Her exceptional organization and focus ensure that every project is well-planned, making execution seamless. She may be small, but don’t be fooled—when she truly wants something, she has the determination to make it happen.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Pedro:
In terms of technical experience, I consider myself versatile and skilled in a wide range of areas, including carpentry, construction, electrical work, and more. Whenever needed, I’m the one who steps up, rolls up my sleeves, and learns on the job.
I hold a degree in Nature Sports and Active Tourism, with a specialization in water sports, though I also have experience in mountain activities. Additionally, I am certified as a Quality Control Manager, completed a forklift training course, and possess a variety of other relevant certifications and experiences.

Marta:
I am a perfectionist with an artist’s mindset, able to turn a blank canvas into a work of art with a brush in hand. Calm, methodical, and highly skilled at organizing projects, I bring creative visions to life in a practical and effective way.
With a degree in Art and Heritage Sciences and expertise in painting, I have hands-on experience in restoration, hotel space maintenance, bulk storage management, and factory operations.
Above all, I’m adaptable, constantly seeking new knowledge, and always ready to embrace new projects.
