Currently traveling to gain more experience in small scale agriculture and cooking with what nature has to offer. This to prepare for my dream of starting a farm-to-table food truck on one of the islands in the Caribbean.

Working with plants, working in and with nature, preparing food, and interacting with other people brings me happiness.

For my studies in sustainability I have traveled around a lot. I have worked on different farms, with different farming methods, cultures and people. In Cape Town I worked on an organic urban farm, in Curacao I worked on a small scale regenerative farm, on Bonaire on a goat farm where we milked the goats by hand. And also in the Netherlands I have work in a farming who was applying different organic cultivation methods. Right now I am working in the garden of ‘Cabarete Sostenible’ in the Dominican Republic, where I am also getting a lot of knowledge.

I like to do different things, to work with my hands in nature and with people. I love to learn, to do new things, to work hard and to help where needed.

My experience at the eco lodge was amazing and I would not have missed it for anything in the world. The way the team takes care of you is incredible. Outstanding helper and all around up for any task with a positive attitude. What a blessing to have someone like Aplonia around the project to be a creative and collaborative help alongside us as she looks to build her own project. We highly recommend her help and think she will one day be hosting her own land project.
