Thijn visited with us for 5 weeks during October/November 2025. He is a kind, sincere, and trustworthy soul , executing all tasks asked of him with an active involvement and enthusiasm...he engaged in our lifestyle as if he intended to stay here forever...easy to be around, as well as being able to take care of himself when need...strong, able-bodied, and one of the best workers we've had during 6 years of Workaway...if you're lucky enough to get the chance to host him, don't hesitate!

Hanna et Rami ont été notre première expérience en woofing, et nous en sommes absolument ravies ! Nous sommes restées trois semaines en octobre et avons pu participer à la préparation de l’arrivée de l’hiver. Les tâches étaient variées et toutes intéressantes. Nous avons également découvert des plats typiques de la région, ainsi que des activités comme la cueillette de champignons et de baies, ou encore de belles balades à cheval. En ce qui concerne la communication, Hanna et Rami ont fait preuve d’une grande patience et nous ont beaucoup aidées à progresser en anglais. Ils sont très à l’écoute et nous avons partagé de très beaux moments d’échanges sur de nombreux sujets. Les animaux sont adorables, et Maiko deviendra sûrement votre meilleur ami durant votre séjour ! Un immense merci à vous deux pour cette magnifique expérience : nous avons adoré partager cet échange culturel avec vous. :)

My family and I had a wonderful time with Tobias and his family! With great team spirit, we harvested olives and had a lot of fun both at work and in our free time. Tobias, Mona, and their son welcomed us so warmly and showed great appreciation to all of us in the harvest team. Our well-being was always taken care of, and it was fantastic to get to know Hannes' bakery "Krümel" and enjoy delicious organic bread from there every day. Tobias' family's house and olive grove are in a truly stunning location with a gigantic view of the sea, Kalamata, and the mountains. We were very comfortable with our caravan here. It was not easy for us to leave this lovely workaway place, but we also wanted to travel a bit further. Dear Tobias and family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful time together and we are already looking forward to seeing you again!

Stefan is a really chill and easy-going guy. Staying with him was honestly super cool. He always had some fun stories and random interesting facts to share. He hosted us like a pro and made sure we felt comfortable from day one. Whenever we had any issues, he was there to help out, he even helped us land our first job on Iceland. The work itself wasn't complicated either, we helped him with clearing out the area of trees, logs and branches. Overall, great vibes, great conversations, and a place where you really feel supported. Totally recommend staying with him!

Nous venons de terminer notre premier séjour Workaway et ce fut une expérience formidable. Nos hôtes, Fabienne et Olivier, sont très sympathiques et toujours disponibles. Travailler ensemble au jardin était un vrai plaisir. Les tâches étaient variées et comprenaient du jardinage ainsi que d'autres travaux. Le logement (maison d'ami) est spacieux, lumineux et parfaitement adapté à un séjour en autonomie. Nous avons beaucoup échangé avec nos hôtes, qui nous ont donné de précieux conseils sur la région. Grâce aus horaires flexibles, nous avons pu profiter pleinement de notre séjour. Merci beaucoup et nous serions ravis de revenir.

What a wonderful place!!!🥰🥰🥰 This world schooling programme is AMAZING. I spend 6 weeks in Vietnam at Phu Quoc and highly recommend it if you love to work with children, are into meeting many world travelling families from all over the world and love beautiful beaches! Daniela and Fernando are amazing people putting their whole heart into their project❤️☀️ I worked with 5-8 kids during the morning, we did arts and crafts, experiments, played music together and were having lots of fun. D&F always made sure I had all the materials I needed so that I could create my own projects with the kids. They were between 3 - 6 years old and I integrated fun activities connected with learning as lots of them are home schooled. We did projects about different countries, stone age, music and more… You’ll also get the chance to offer childcare or English lessons to earn some money. In the afternoon and on my days off I attended many excursions to the most beautiful beaches, we did snorkeling and boat trips with the families, went on the largest cable car worldwide and so much more!! It was so much fun with such a large group of like-minded people!🥰☀️The island is beautiful and you‘ll get the chance to visit waterfalls, experience delicious Vietnamese cuisine and local culture. There are also nice pubs with live music and travellers close by so it’s easy to connect! There is a free bus on the island but I‘d recommend to bring an international driving license to rent a motorbike - sooo amazing!!! The resort is lovely, has lots of palm trees and a big pool. My apartment was only 3 minutes away and also had a nice pool. To sum it up - its AMAZING! Also very safe as a solo travelling girl!!! No need to worry!!! Fernando and Daniela are one of the most caring, lovely and inspiring humans I‘ve ever met - also world travellers and they have the cutest kids❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for an amazing time, I‘ll miss you❤️☀️🥰

C’était un séjour inattendu. Merci à Michel et Valérie d’avoir accepté ma demande de dernière minute pour rester chez eux. Même si je n’avais aucune expérience pour m’occuper de personnes handicapées, j’ai vécu une expérience incroyable en passant du temps avec Barbara. Les repas étaient toujours délicieux et sains. Merci encore à Valérie pour les avoir préparés ! Et Michel est comme un père pour toi en France : il a l’esprit ouvert et il est curieux de découvrir la culture de ton pays.

I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a few days with Abdul Malik and it was an amazing experience. I got to see some really cool places like Mutrah souq, Mutrah fort, the marina. As well as having omani food in a traditional restaurant & plenty of chai. The hospitality that he & his family showed was incredible. Can't wait to visit again soon. If anybody is considering visiting Oman, Abdul Malik is the best guy to show you around and make you feel welcome.

Being in Quillabamba with Jennifer and the kids has taught me so much about community, life and myself. Thank you for this opportunity!!! There is a lot of free time and space there to create and engage with the children in your own unique ways. I found that this experience is especially great for people who are open and ready to take initiative with the kids' activities. As for living in a group of international volunteers, it is truly a multicultural cauldron where everybody grows together. Thank you so much 🫶

Don, Julia and Kairos are beautiful, open minded, kind personalities that I truly appreciate and feel grateful to have met! Thank you so much! The communication was clear from the get go, the house is lovely and I enjoyed being with Kairos and going through his parents' working days together. We laughed, learned and voyaged into getting to know eachother. Also, I utterly enjoyed the free days trips, thank you! What a blessing that was 🫶

I had a great one week stay at the peaceful place of Esmeralda and Rafa. Helping on their projet will bring you a positive energy. One of my main task was planting trees: it was a rewarding job. You will enjoy the company of their 3 dogs Tina, Bosco and Guapi, they are lovely and they will certainly be at your side if you want to explore the beautiful surroundings. The dormitory is very large and since the place can welcome many workawayers you will also maybe have the chance to meet other travelers! I recommend you to spend at least one evening listening to Rafa's song, they are beautiful. Thank you again Esmeralda and Rafa, I enjoyed this workaway stay and I wished you all the best with your project 🌸🌻

I had a wonderful stay at this place. The location is truly special. Surrounded by nature, beautiful views, and an incredible variety of birds. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy the peaceful environment. The local staff made my experience even better. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to teach and learn. A big shout-out to Mustafa and Lucky, amazing people who made me feel right at home and helped me plan my trip to the lake and Liwonde NP. I genuinely miss the place already and would love to return one day. Highly recommended!

Almas volunteer in my farm for ten days. She is very friendly and shown interest in learning natural farming. Had good time with her in the farm. She helped by weeding in ground nut field and around the farm . Also helped in cooking/ kitchen. Friendly with the workers . We discussed a lot during her stay . Thank you.

Bodo was our first ‘workaway’and ’volunteering abroad’ experience and we can say that there would have never been a better start anywhere else. Bodo is such a friendly, welcoming and humorous person and has made a lot possible for us. We could visit Rome, Siena, Pisa, the sea and experience many local events and traditions in Tuscany with him. We always had a lot of fun. We had our own room and a shared kitchen and bathroom aswell. His house was only 20min away by bike from the small village Campagnatico, so it was very peacefull and idylic out there. And eventhough the bus drove just twice a day, Bodo made it possible that we could go everywhere we liked to. The work was also interesting and full of experience. The olive harvest was sometimes a bit difficult and strenous, but all in all amusing when working with a great Team. During our 1,5 month stay, we got to know a lot of fantastic new people, which made our stay even more exciting and amazing. Having dinner and talks in the evening was always so enjoyable with a comfortable atmosphere and our little talks. We can highly recommend going to Bodo for experiencing the tuscan lifestyle and a real Olive harvest as well as everything around that topic. We already miss our time there and hope to come back another time (to meet our italian ’grandfather’ 😅).

An unforgettable stay at Mickey’s finca We had an amazing time at Mickey’s finca. Communication with him was always easy and straightforward, and he made us feel welcome from the start. His property is huge and incredibly beautiful, with its own waterfall and natural swimming holes that we enjoyed almost every day. Being off-grid without electricity or WiFi was something we really appreciated — it let us disconnect and enjoy nature fully. Mickey is also an excellent cook. He often prepared meals using things we had just harvested from his food forests, which made everything feel extra special. We got to try so many different fruits from his land, and that was definitely a highlight. He has an impressive amount of knowledge about plants, trees, and animals, and he loved sharing it with us. We also really appreciated how flexible he was with plans, meals, and free time. The overall vibe at the finca was super relaxed and positive. On top of that, Mickey took us on several extra hikes to visit even more stunning waterfalls in the area, which we really enjoyed. He’s a very hard worker and it shows in everything he does on his land. We’re very grateful for the experience and can highly recommend staying with him. Thank you, Mickey!

Respectful, friendly and welcoming hosts. If we lived near them, we would definitely be great friends. And I'm not just saying that because the cottage is so nice, but because Fabyan and Inge are also kind people who respect other people's lives. Long live them!

It is an unforgettable experience for me to stay in such an amazing hostel in Mutare. l spent almost 2 months here and my job is mostly helping buiding the website for the hostel and the kindergarden. l also had the chance to share the knowledge of how to build a website with locals so that they can update their website by themselves. There is always something going on in the hostel , you can meet a lot of interesting guests, friends of the team and local artists. The whole place is full of art works and has a beautiful garden decorated with details and passion. It always makes you want to stay longer than expected. Thank you for everything and hope to see you again!

The time in Roci’s place was wonderful and I am grateful for having had the opportunity to extend my stay. She is a very sweet and helpful host. If possible she will tailor the tasks to one’s capabilities. In my case those were some carpentry jobs as well as maintenance tasks which I enjoyed a lot. Roci was always open to suggestions for these projects and helped me expand my moderate spanish skills with great patience in the process. The room is small and simple but it was just right for me and I was lucky to have it to myself. The rooftop is just amazing. I loved watching sunrises and sunsets from up there. The view across the city and the surrounding mountains is wonderful. A great spot to have meals or work out. Rocis place is a bit away from the city centre but the neighbourhood is friendly and peaceful. The buses leave frequently right next to the house though and drop you in the centre after 20-30 min for just 10 pesos. However, the bus service ends at around 9 o’clock. If you want to stay in the centre for the evening you will have to take a taxi after that. Overall it was probably my favourite workaway experience. Roci is a lovely host, both the accommodation and Oaxaca are great places to stay in and the work was fun. Thank you very much for a great memory, Roci!

Guillaume was a great volunteer and an absolute pleasure to host. He has a great work ethic, was always cheerful and on-time and took great care in his work. He fit in well with the other volunteers, was great with the children and was a great guy to have on our team. We can give him our highest recommendation as a volunteer and would welcome jim back any time.

It was truely amazing to stay at the farm and feeling part of Jackie’s and Julia’s agricultural project. The two creating a utopia of Sustainability what I appreciate so much in this capitalist, patriarchal world. I prize their values and all their afford of not using plastics, being sustainable in using water, treating their animals and plants with so much love - all the way to the worms in the compost. Esteeming truthfully their way of living in harmony. In four years of traveling I rarely found places like theirs. They were very generous with sharing all their knowledge from composting, planting, building up to how to evacuate a hole farm from a typhoon. They teach me how to provide their animals. The difference in the food for the chickens and ducks. How to check the stomach of a chicken, signs of them not feeling well up to care for them after a monitor lizard attack. How to handle the machete to cut banana plants and the staple gun to cladding their greenhouse. I also learned how to produce Soya- and Coconut Milk, peanut oil and tofu. Beyond farm knowledge I had wonderful exchange with Jackie about body therapy methods and we practiced with melting balls aka Titschbälle :) Julia took me with other volunteers to a Halloween Party and organised game nights. Both are very concerned to create a cosy and comfortable surrounding for their volunteers. They even support me in situations of crisis: physically after a Scooter accident or mentally with my melt down with the Japanese post. With the crazy Typhoons in the Philippines they were very concerned that I feel and was safe the hole time, plus took care of me. It actually turned into a playful time together. The only thing Julia could never teach me is proper English :) Egal wo auf dieser Welt ich mal enden werde, seid euch bewusst, dass ihr immer willkommen seid.
