Hello! My name is Sharon and I live in a large funny house in central Trieste. It is just me and my husband (Andrea - a local man) and our dog Baloo. We sometimes have BnB guests.

You might learn something about gardening and growing fruit and veggies and we are a two language house so you could learn english or italian. Also, as we live in the centre you will have access to all the museums and great stuff the city has to offer. (it is just a 10 minute bus ride to the swimming area too)

Just 20 minutes walk from the city apartment is a large forest and within the forest by a bubbling creek is an organic garden. Organic in the sense that we don't use sprays or anything. It needs a lot done on it like, cutting branches, digging holes, moving dirt... and dog walking.

We are close to 5 different cinemas, Rossetti Theatre, supermarkets, ice cream parlours and buses. it is just 10 minutes walk to the dead centre of town. Beach is 10 minutes away and we are a 10 minute car ride to Slovenia.

I stayed with Sharon and Andrea for only a week, but had an amazing time and could easily have stayed longer. They're both such warm and welcoming people, they always made sure we were okay and were so relaxed about everything. It was always lovely to sit and chat to both of them. Having Robin in the house was like having our own personal sun..
Providing light, warmth and joy giving...
He did every job perfectly, whether it was dish washing, dog walking, ceiling repairing and wood chopping... And I am sure he could master anything else he was asked to do quite quickly.

Staying with Sharon and Andrea felt so natural. They were spontaneous, easy-going, warm and great fun to be with. I worked a little in Sharon's garden doing some weeding, the rest of the time I went to the beach with Andrea and accompanied him on a children's show he was performing. Excellent weekend!

It was really great experience to spent some time with Sharon and Andrea. They took me to their theatre shows many times and they let me play with them in the smallest theatre in the world.
They also made many great meals and made me feel like home the whole time.
Their garden is beautiful and it is relaxing to work there.

Our time in Trieste was unforgettable. Sharon and Andrea were lovely hosts and it was an awesome week doing all kinds of interesting tasks. The apartment is a fantastic location for exploring the city and beach. The garden is a great project and a tranquil cool place to hang out in the midst of an Italian heat wave.
