  Hello 2025 volunteers !!
  
  (Right now we are looking for one or two persons to join us for a week or two after around June 23/24/25)
  
  We are Anders and Magdalena with our kids August 16 and Greta 14. Plus 3 cats and Dolly the dog. We are creative family that left the city life in Malmö behind 15 years ago, bought and old farm and started over. We have no idea of what we are doing but it seems to work.
  
  "it will be fine" is what we live by.
  
  Here we live the year around and run a popular organic cafe and a second hand/vintage furniture shop from late spring to mid autumn. We also started arranging live music at the farm in the summertime. We manage the cafe/shop by ourselves and the workawayers are not helping out with the business.
  
  We only have one acres of land that we try to utilise the best to our knowledge. We don't take any shortcuts.
  
  We do everything by ourselves and learned everything after we moved here and we do have an alternative, ecological and sustainable lifestyle which we feel we are obligated to. You should have the same interest and ... food should also be very important for you.
  
  One might say that we have an alternative lifestyle but thats not how we see it. We are the ones that are normal and the ones living the so called "normal" lifes are the alternative.
  
  We used to work as self employed in the creative business where Magdalena designed clothes and Anders was an active filmartist for 25 years but stopped 10 years ago.
  
  We live in an old traditional house from the southern part of Sweden from the end of the 18th century and build/repair everything on the farm with recycled/repurposed wood.
  
  In September 2022 we purchased another small farm close to us that we are currently renovating from scratch.
  
  2025 will be our eight year as hosts on workaway and we hosted over 80 volunteers from all over the world and loved it so the whole family is looking forward to welcome you to our little place on earth.
  
  The whole family is very active, running, swimming and both kids plays soccer.
  
  You must have a valid visa for a stay in Sweden since we cannot assist you in getting one.
  
  Please note that the tasks on the farm is mostly physical and can be demanding if you are not used to physical work.

  You will learn about Sweden and Swedish country living and we hope to learn about you, where you come from and your culture. Eco farming, baking, fermenting, beekeeping, building, gardening and everything else we can share.
  We are both very driven and have had several businesses before and got lots of experience to share.

  The ideal Workawayers would be open-minded, self-motivated, tidy, mature, independent and at least 20 years or older.
  + be interested in food.

  We live in the countryside so... there are insects, if you don't like this, then maybe this is not the right place for you. It's a dirty job and there is no way you will stay clean. Also .. any kind of allergies? This is not for you.

  Acomodação

  The accommodation is a simple setting in a renovated old stable with outdoor shower (hot) and outdoor dry toilet.
  In the spring when it's colder we have a caravan as an option. There is also a separate kitchen area and space in the cafe when closed for eating and just hanging around.
  They are is you might say rustic but it works. 200 years old so dust will exist.
  
  You will have to share the accommodation with others.
  We always try to plan so here is always at least 2 volunteers at the same time but from end of June to July-August you will be four so you will never be alone if you don't want to. We try to spend as much time with you as possible but It's not always possible so please be prepared to spend some time yourself out of the working hours. We have small kids and the limited time we have with them after school before bed is sacred. We do go together all of us on some activities and try to show the surrounding areas and here is bicycles for your use.
  
  It's a simple living for sure close to the field and when you step out you step on grass and in that grass there is life as insects, bugs, ticks and slugs. We live in the countryside so... . Just so you know what you get into.
  
  You take your showers (hot water) outside in the open air.
  
  We have cats and a dog and they will for sure bother you for love so any allergy or cat phobia is not working here.
  
  We are conscious eaters and mostly eat vegetarian food but meat from time to time.
  Be prepared to cook for yourself most of the times. By this we mean real cooking and not heating up prefab food.
  We will keep your pantry full with the basics and then what the garden gives and that is depending on the season we are in. You will never be hungry. There is also ingredients for baking and such. But you are the cook.
  
  We don't provide meat for your own meals (sometimes yes) and we cannot provide a full vegan diet so that extra you have to provide yourself. That means that if you use non animal products in your coffee, butter and so on you will have to provide that yourself.
  
  Smoking is not allowed here at all. Not even if you take one/day. Sorry but thats how we want it.
  
  Most important is to bring good working clothes and shoes.

  You have to know that this is a rural area which means that you have to be able entertain yourself the rest of the time. We have bikes you can borrow and the nature here is quite spectacular and there is also another small village close by with a small shop, thai food restaurant and cafe.
  
  The bigger village "Hörby" is 10 minutes by bus and there is supermarkets and everything you need if you wanna be a happy consumer.
  
  Lund is the closest biggest city and one of Sweden oldest, founded in 1666. Enjoy exploring the old town, the beautiful Lund Cathedral and close to that is the Kulturen open-air museum which has replicas of buildings from medieval times to the 20th century.
  
  There is busses that can take you all around the southern parts of Skåne. We have workawayers before that took the bus and spent the free days in Lund and Malmö and that takes approx 90 minutes from our village by bus.
  
  The farm is located one hour from Malmö, Swedens third largest city and another half hour from Copenhagen, the capitol of Denmark. Copenhagen is also the closest international airport. There is a direct train from the airport to a village 20 minutes from us. There is a bus stop in our village 100 metres from the farm that will take you to Hörby the bigger village where one can shop. Thats a 10 minute ride and from there the bus to Malmö, Lund and Kristianstad leaves as well. The FLIX bus also recently started operate from Hörby.

  We are very used to volunteers arriving in there own camper van, car and sometimes with bicycle. We have a big field where it's easy to find a spot.
