  I'm Stella, mother of two boys, Lou (5 years old) and Auri (3 years old). I live in the same house as my mother, Erika (just upstairs), and I'm looking for someone who would like to live with her. My mother now lives alone on the ground floor and needs help with housework, cooking meals, personal care, cleaning, and companionship. She recently became wheelchair-bound after three hip surgeries and can no longer do many things for herself. She may be able to walk again soon, but it's not certain yet. Ideally, she would like a woman, at least 50 years old, who is still active, speaks German or Italian, and is calm and independent.
  
  We live in a small, beautiful, and quiet village. The people here are friendly and know each other. There are numerous recreational opportunities in the surrounding countryside, such as hiking, swimming in the river, mountain biking, climbing and bouldering, canyoning, cycling, and mountaineering. The natural environment here is very beautiful and lush and has a lot to offer. We live very close to many valleys, each with its own unique character. The lake is only a 20-minute bike ride away in Locarno, the nearest town; Ascona, a very touristy and picturesque village, is also nearby. Here in the area, you can enjoy swimming in the rivers and lakes – the locations are beautiful. Foraging for wild herbs and mushrooms is also possible when in season. Further afield, you'll find pump tracks, mountain bike trails, bouldering rocks, and climbing walls... come and discover our region!
  
  We are an open and friendly family and would love to welcome someone who is friendly, respectful, independent, and active, and who loves children, gardening, and nature.
  
  My mother enjoys eating fresh vegetables from the garden and is primarily vegetarian.
  
  The work would involve helping with getting up in the morning, preparing (or even just reheating) meals at lunch and dinner, and helping with bedtime in the evening. Helping out in the garden, cleaning, doing laundry and whatever else needs doing in between, everything can be discussed and can be a little different from day to day.

  ich bin Stella, Mutter von zwei Jungen, Lou (5 Jahre) und Auri (3 Jahre). Ich wohne im gleichen Haus meiner Mutter Erika (grad obendran) und suche jemanden der zu meiner Mutter möchte. Meine Mutter lebt nun alleine im unteren Stock des Hauses und braucht hilfe im Haushalt, sowie mit dem Kochen der Mahlzeiten, Pflege, putzen und gesellschaft. Sie ist seit kurzem im Rollstuhl weil sie 3 OP an der Hüfte hatte und kann deshalb vieles nicht mehr selbst machen. Vielleicht kann sie bald wieder anfangen zu gehen, man weiss es aber noch nicht sicher.Am liebsten hätte sie eine Frau, mindestens 50 Jahre alt, die noch fit ist, deutsch oder italienisch redet, ruhig und selbständig ist.
  Wir leben in einem kleinen, schönen und ruhigen Dorf. Die Menschen hier sind freundlich und kennen sich untereinander. In der Natur gibt es zahlreiche Freizeitmöglichkeiten wie Wandern, Baden im Fluss, Mountainbiken, Klettern und Bouldern, Canyoning, Radfahren, Bergsteigen... Die Natur hier ist sehr schön und üppig und hat viel zu bieten. Wir wohnen ganz in der Nähe vieler Täler, die alle ihre Eigenheiten haben. Der See ist nur 20 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad entfernt, in Locarno, der nächstgelegenen Stadt; in der Nähe liegt auch Ascona, ein sehr touristisches und malerisches Dorf. Hier in der Umgebung kannst du ausgiebig in Flüssen oder Seen baden, die Orte sind herrlich. Auch das Sammeln von Wildkräutern und Pilzen ist, wenn in der richtingen Saison möglich. Dann gibt es Pumptracks, MTB-Trails, Boulderfelsen und Kletterfelsen etwas weiter entfernt... komm und entdecke unsere Gegend!
  Wir sind eine offene und freundliche Familie und würden uns über jemanden freuen, der freundlich, respektvoll, selbstständig und aktiv ist und Kinder, Garten und die Natur liebt.
  Meine Mutter isst gerne frisches Gemüse vom Garten und hauptsächlich vegetarisch.
  Die Arbeit wäre am Morgen helfen mit aufstehen, Mittags und Abends das Essen vorbereiten (oder auch nur aufwärmen), am Abend helfen ins Bett zu gehen. Zwischendurch im Garten helfen, putzen, Wäsche waschen und was sonst noch zu machen ist, es kann dann alles besprochen werden und auch von Tag zu Tag ein bisschen anderst sein.

  mi chiamo Stella, sono mamma di due bambini, Lou (5 anni) e Auri (3 anni). Abito nella stessa casa di mia madre Erika (al piano di sopra) e cerco qualcuno che voglia stare con lei. Mia madre ora vive da sola al pianterreno della casa e ha bisogno di aiuto nelle faccende domestiche, nella preparazione dei pasti, nell’assistenza personale, nelle pulizie e per avere un po’ di compagnia. Da poco è su una sedia a rotelle perché ha subito 3 interventi chirurgici all'anca e quindi non riesce più a fare molte cose da sola. Forse potrà ricominciare presto a camminare, ma non lo sappiamo ancora con certezza. Preferirebbe una donna, di almeno 50 anni, che sia ancora in forma, che parli tedesco o italiano, che sia tranquilla e autonoma.
  Viviamo in un piccolo, grazioso e tranquillo villaggio. Qui le persone sono cordiali e si conoscono tra loro. La natura offre numerose possibilità di svago come escursioni, bagni nel fiume, mountain bike, arrampicata e bouldering, canyoning, ciclismo, alpinismo... La natura qui è molto bella e rigogliosa e ha molto da offrire. Abitiamo nelle immediate vicinanze di molte valli, ognuna con le proprie peculiarità. Il lago dista solo 20 minuti in bicicletta, a Locarno, la città più vicina; nelle vicinanze si trova anche Ascona, un paese molto turistico e pittoresco. Qui nei dintorni puoi fare lunghe nuotate nei fiumi o nei laghi, i luoghi sono meravigliosi. Se la stagione lo permette, è possibile anche raccogliere erbe selvatiche e funghi. Poi ci sono pump track, percorsi per MTB, massi per il bouldering e pareti di arrampicata un po’ più lontano... vieni a scoprire la nostra zona!
  Siamo una famiglia aperta e cordiale e saremmo felici di accogliere qualcuno che sia gentile, rispettoso, autonomo e attivo e che ami i bambini, il giardino e la natura.
  A mia madre piace mangiare verdure fresche dell'orto e segue una dieta prevalentemente vegetariana.
  Il lavoro consisterebbe nell'aiutare al mattino ad alzarsi, preparare il pranzo e la cena (o anche solo riscaldare), aiutare la sera a mettere a letto i bambini. Nel frattempo, aiutare in giardino, pulire, fare il bucato e qualsiasi altra cosa ci sia da fare; tutto può essere discusso e può variare leggermente di giorno in giorno.

  The work would involve helping with getting up in the morning, preparing (or even just reheating) meals at lunchtime and in the evening, and helping with bedtime routines. In between, you'd help in the garden (picking vegetables and fruit, watering), cleaning, doing laundry, and whatever else needs doing. Everything can be discussed beforehand and may vary slightly from day to day. It can get very hot in the summer, up to 36°C, so you need to be used to that.

  Bicycles are available for exploring the area. Locarno is a 25-minute bike ride away.
  
  The food is mainly vegetarian and simple. We don't waste food, so we also eat leftovers or bread from previous days; it's best if you're not too fussy about food.
  
  We're looking for someone who is responsible, quiet, and tidy.
  
  If we find that something isn't working well or you're not happy, we can renegotiate the Workaway arrangement at any time, either party agreeing to do so.

  I pasti sono prevalentemente vegetariani e semplici. Non buttiamo via il cibo, quindi mangiamo anche gli avanzi o il pane dei giorni precedenti; è preferibile non essere troppo schizzinosi con il cibo.
  Cerchiamo una persona responsabile, tranquilla e ordinata.
