  Our apartment is located just two minutes from Gwangalli Beach in Busan.

  If you need any help with traveling around Busan, we’d be happy to help. You can also learn how to cook Korean food with my wife if you’re interested.
  On weekends, we can show you around Busan and explore the city together if you want.

  You will have your own private room in our three-room apartment, so you can have your own personal space and privacy during your stay.
  The apartment is located on the 4th floor of a building without an elevator, so please keep this in mind when bringing your luggage.
  The apartment is in a convenient location, just a 2-minute walk from Gwangalli Beach in Busan. You will have access to the shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

  If you are visiting or staying in Busan, choosing the right neighborhood can make a big difference. Busan is a large city, and each area has a very different atmosphere. Here are three of the best places to consider: Gwangalli, Seomyeon, and Haeundae.
  
  1. Gwangalli — Best for a Relaxed Beach Lifestyle
  Gwangalli is my first recommendation, especially if you want to enjoy the ocean and experience a more relaxed side of Busan.
  The biggest attraction is Gwangalli Beach, where you can enjoy beautiful views of Gwangan Bridge. The area has many cafes, restaurants, bars, and small shops, so it is easy to spend time here without traveling far.
  Gwangalli is also a good choice if you want to meet other foreigners or enjoy Busan's nightlife without being in an extremely busy area.
  Best for: People who love the beach, cafes, restaurants, and a relaxed atmosphere.
  
  2. Seomyeon — Best for Convenience and City Life
  If convenience is your top priority, Seomyeon is probably the best choice.
  Seomyeon is one of Busan's major transportation and commercial centers. There are countless restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, and entertainment options. It is also very convenient for traveling to other parts of Busan because several subway lines connect through the area.
  The downside is that Seomyeon does not have a beach nearby, and the atmosphere can feel much busier and more urban than Gwangalli.
  
  One of the hottest areas in Seomyeon is Jeonpo Cafe Street.
  It’s known for its cute, cozy, and unique cafés, as well as a wide variety of restaurants where you can enjoy all kinds of delicious food. The area used to be filled with hardware and tool shops, but many of the old shops and buildings have been transformed into stylish cafés, restaurants, dessert shops, vintage stores, and little boutique shops.
  What makes Jeonpo especially interesting is that you can find so many different places tucked away in its small alleyways. You can grab a coffee, try different kinds of food, browse little shops, or simply walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. There are also plenty of places that are great for taking photos.
  The neighborhood has become particularly popular with younger people, and it's a very popular place for couples to go on dates. As more cafés, restaurants, and unique little shops continue to open, Jeonpo has become one of the trendiest areas in Busan.
  So if you like cute cafés, good food, shopping, and a lively but stylish atmosphere, Jeonpo Cafe Street is definitely one of the places you should check out while staying in Seomyeon.
  Best for: People who want convenient transportation, shopping, nightlife, and a lively city atmosphere.
  
  3. Haeundae — Best for Beaches and Tourism
  Haeundae is probably the most famous tourist area in Busan. It has a beautiful long beach, many hotels, restaurants, cafes, and attractions.
  It is especially popular with international visitors, so you may find it relatively easy to get around as a foreigner. Haeundae is also a good base if you want to spend a lot of time at the beach or visit popular tourist attractions in eastern Busan.
  However, accommodation can be more expensive than in some other areas, especially during the summer and peak tourist seasons.
  Best for: People who want a famous beach, tourist attractions, hotels, and a more international atmosphere.
  
  Which One Should You Choose?
  If I had to choose just one, I would recommend Gwangalli for a foreigner who wants to experience Busan rather than simply stay in a tourist area.
  
  Gwangalli: Best overall for beach life and a relaxed atmosphere
  Seomyeon: Best for transportation and city life
  Haeundae: Best for tourism and a famous beach
  
  In terms of prices, Seomyeon and Nampo-dong are generally the cheapest, especially because they have lots of local restaurants and traditional markets. Haeundae tends to be the most expensive, while Gwangalli falls somewhere in between.
  If you are staying in Busan for several weeks or longer, Gwangalli is especially worth considering. You can enjoy the beach, cafes, restaurants, nightlife, and local neighborhood atmosphere while still having relatively convenient access to other parts of the city.
  
  Most of all, you can enjoy spectacular events like the drone show every Saturday and a big fireworks festival once a year in Gwangalli.
