It's amazing staying at Coral's house. Started with a very nice chat with her and her friends, we spent a lot of time talking and having dinners with many of her friends, which I appreciated very much. She was always grateful and trying to be fair when I worked for her. At the first three days, we did a lot brushing and painting for longer hours
… read more before the rains came. And then she treated me a nice dinner at a pub and gave me one more rest day. She's also a fabulous vegetarian cook, offering me the best vegetarian pizza I've ever had. Feng arrived willing to get straight into some hard labor as we worked together for 3 days scrubbing timber weatherboards then getting them oiled before the rains came. This did not deter Gladys from extending her stay from 7 nights to 11 nights. Gladys was a delight to have in my home and easy to get along with. Her English is excellent and she
… read more enjoyed sharing her stories and was very interested in the local culture. She was traveling with her own car which enabled her to venture out independently to explore the local area. Gladys even attended our local dawn service. She was willing to learn new things such as playing pool "she won" and backgammon. She slotted in easily with all my friends and cooked up a wonderful Cantonese feast for us all.
I wish Gladys all the very best for a safe and happy trip full of fun adventures. She would always be welcomed back in my home again.

Julie stayed with me for 1 week and in that time she managed to give my deck a new vibrant life. Julie also helped me with the messy job of cleaning and oiling external timber walls. I found Julie easy to communicate with her English is good and she gave me some French lessons which often bought about lots of laughter. Julie is a kind gentle
… read more person who appreciates nature and wildlife and was excellent company to have around. She loved coming out with me to explore our surrounding neighborhood and environments. I would easily welcome Julie back into my home again she is easy going and an absolute delight.

Doing a workaway at Coral's place is much more than just a workaway. Coral welcomed me as a member of her family and made me feel like home.
The jobs were simple, varied and fair.

Our two and a half weeks with Coral were magical! Mogareeka is beautiful, and Coral makes it so much more special. Our days consisted of doing projects such as oiling, cleaning gutters, or simple gardening, followed by tea time and an afternoon swim. She often worked alongside us and her directions were clear. Lara and Maya were awesome company, and fabulous handy-women who were not afraid to get dirty. They took on the messy jobs of cleaning out my gutters, cleaning and oiling my deck, 2 timber bench seats and some house weather boards. They got into the garden removing weeds and repositioning a heavy old garden tub. They were great in the kitchen with
… read more yummy cookie baking, pickling onions, and helping to prepare meals. They helped with the housework including cleaning the bathroom and bedrooms before departure.
They have a great relationship with each other which made them fun to have around as they naturally emitted positives vibes wherever they went. They were not afraid to explore new experiences within our local community such as participating in a local 2.5 hr. yoga class, 3 hr. meditation plus 1 hr.of dancing in the dark and attending some live music. They went on independent walks and swims as well as joining me to explore other surrounding beaches and bush walks.
They were easy going and great communicators. I will miss them.Comentário

He would often step out of his personal comfort zone to try new activities such as dancing freestyle in the dark, surfing, mingling with the native wildlife and engaging with the locals and other international visitors.
The aesthetics of my property improved from his willingness to remove stumps, do weeding and oiling my timber deck. Virgile was also helpful in the kitchen doing the dishes and occasionally assisting with meal preparation and cooking. Skills he would rather his parents not to find out about:)
Virgile will always be welcomed back into my home.

Coral has become a really good friend of ours. We always had wonderful conversations and enjoyed delicious meals together. As we didn't have a car, she was happy to take us to different places.
