Hannah stayed with my family for two months and a half this summer.
This was our first experience with "work away" and we were not sure about what to expect from it.
From the moment she arrived she did nothing but trying to help out, adapted immediately to our family life and connected with me and my children in a very special way.

… read more and smiling , makes your day by day very easy, she is very good at noticing what you need help with even before you ask for it.
Hannah integrated herself so well!! Within a few weeks we started seeing her like another family member, her presence was always so nice, she has got a lovely personality , is really hard to find someone like that.
At home she helped out not only with the children but with domestic tasks such as gardening, cleaning the house, helping out with the dogs ...Always offered help when i was doing something and felt really bad when she was not being useful.
She makes the best coffee as well!!
About her relationship with the children , it is really unique.
My smallest one is 3 years old and asks for her every minute, they spent so much time together...painting, modeling plastiline, dancing disney songs, and watering the plants or jumping on the trampoline, always treated her with such patience and care that she felt truly loved by her.She is still crying for Hannah quite often.
My 8 year old son does find hard to interact with most people as he is autistic, but he truly loves Hannah, it requires a certain type of sensitivity and empathy to deal with him and i am very impress with Hannah and her non judgmental and open heart.
My teenager girl, 15 years old, found a friend on her, i felt very relax when they were together somewhere as Hannah is highly responsable and mature, she is already trying to get her to come again so they can go to the carnival together.
She left our home only a few days ago but we already miss her so much! I personally found her companion really nice and got use to having her around all the time to the point that it became natural, she is just one more now and we are already looking forward to having her again.
If you are looking for someone you can trust , Hannah is that person, however get yourself ready for the goodbye because i promise you is not easy to let her go...
I can only thank her for her patience , love and care to this family.

Loveliest family of the island!
I had the pleasure to stay with Jana and her family for 2,5 months this summer and I enjoyed every minute of it. Jana is the funniest person and I am so glad that I got to know her. With her you can talk about everything, she is such a good listener, always gives you a good advice (especially with fashion- such a
… read more good taste in clothes, shoes, bags etc. (!!!) ), but also does an amazing job with cheering you up if something brings you down.
Sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine, sharing a pizza and watching Netflix after a day of keeping the kids entertained, kind of was our ritual and I loved it so much. I am missing it already:slight_frown:
She's always down to take you out to see the island, go on a Coffee-Date or do a little shopping and I am so grateful for her taking so much time for me.
Furthermore, she has the three most beautiful children I have ever seen: Lottie has the face of an angel, and even though she sometimes can be a bit difficult to handle (like every three-year-old), you just can't resist her & have to love her. She is the happiest when you share your food with her, dance with her to "Let it go", or just let her use these funny Snapchat filters:grin:.
David just has such a good heart, he will always be so happy and thankful for the smallest amount of time and attention you give him. He will never cause you any trouble if he's alone with you, he's the most responsible child I have ever seen. The only time he gets upset is when Lottie annoys him, which Lottie actually really enjoys:grin:. I really liked playing "word-chains" in the car with him, even though he's far better than me, because of his incredibly huge vocabulary. You can't be anything but impressed with this boy.
Noah is the maturest 15-year-old I've ever met and I found a real friend in her, you'll always have a good time when she's around. With her I visited some interesting places of the island, went out for Tapas or just hung out with her friends. She also has a thing for south-american Telenovelas and so it came that I got to watch "Pasión de gavilanes" with her, which I really enjoyed (this is a complete recommendation!! :relieved::joy:). I am so happy I met her and I am looking forward to go to Carnival with her next year!
It's such a pitty that because of his work, I only got to spend two weeks with Lewis, Janas husband, while I was staying with them. He is such a loving and caring father and the kids adore him. It was fun to talk to him about any topic and I really enjoyed hanging out on the beach with him and the kids. I hope next time I visit them, he will be there too!
I also really appreciate that I had my own room and bathroom in Milas flat, Janas mother who lives right above her (in the same house). Living with Mila is great- she knows you're hungry even before you do:grin: She leaves you your private space but is also always down for a little chat and keeping you company (or cooking something for you:D).
I also got to know some of Janas friends and cousins and it was a pleasure to meet every single one of them.
All in all this was one of the best summers I've ever had in my life and I am so happy I can say these people and this place really feel like a home for me now. Even if this made it so hard for me to say goodbye, I am glad to know that I am always welcomed there and I will be back for a visit as soon as I can.
