  Kitchen & Hospitality Support – Practical, Reliable & Positive
  
  We are a small, family-run retreat venue in the peaceful Mallorcan countryside. Life here follows a calm and natural rhythm, shaped by our retreat guests, the seasons, and the everyday running of the property. Alongside the work, we value a genuine cultural exchange based on mutual respect, professionalism and working together as a small international team.
  
  We are now looking for one practical, reliable and positive person to join us from 3 September until 26 October.
  
  This is a full-time, paid Workaway position. It is a hands-on support role for someone who enjoys practical work, takes initiative and likes being part of a small team.
  
  Main tasks:
  • Assisting our Retreat Chef with food preparation.
  • Helping with washing up and keeping the kitchen organised.
  • Watering the plants and helping keep our beautiful courtyard welcoming for our guests.
  • Light housekeeping and simple cleaning tasks around the property.
  • Supporting the team with various practical tasks whenever needed.
  
  This role is ideal for someone who:
  • Enjoys practical work and likes to stay active.
  • Is reliable, organised and able to work independently.
  • Naturally notices what needs to be done.
  • Enjoys working with food and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Is flexible and happy to help wherever needed.
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a small international team.
  
  Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but is not essential. What matters most is that you are motivated, responsible and enjoy contributing wherever help is needed.
  
  Important to know:
  This is a physically active role with varied daily tasks.
  Working hours vary depending on our retreat schedule. Some days are busier, while others are quieter.
  Our property is located in the peaceful countryside, approximately 2 km from the nearest bus stop, so this position is best suited to someone who enjoys a quieter lifestyle.
  A private apartment on the property is provided.
  Our car can occasionally be borrowed for grocery shopping or other essential errands when it is available, but it is not intended for regular personal use.
  
  Practical & legal details:
  This is a full-time, paid position.
  EU citizenship is required, or you must be legally entitled to work in Spain.
  
  Cultural exchange:
  The cultural exchange in this position comes from working side by side in an international team, meeting retreat guests from many different countries, and becoming part of the everyday life and rhythm of a small retreat venue. Respect, reliability and clear communication are central to how we work together.

  Your main tasks include:
  • Assisting our Retreat Chef with food preparation and simple kitchen tasks.
  • Preparing and setting up the buffet before each meal.
  • Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
  • Setting and clearing the dining tables before and after meals.
  • Light gardening, including watering plants and helping keep the courtyard and outdoor dining areas beautiful and welcoming.
  • Light housekeeping and simple cleaning tasks around the property when needed.
  • Helping with practical everyday tasks as they arise.
  • Helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

  You will have a small little one-room apartment for your own private use.

  Algo mais...

  We have a bicycle for use. The nearest bus stop is about 2 km from the location. Here on Mallorca you can take the bicycle with you on the bus which is very useful when you reach your destination. You will also, under own responsability, be able to borrow a car now and then for shopping (however the car is not for personal use).
