  We have recently opened a dog boarding and training center on the outskirts of Hanoi on a big plot of land that allows our furry friends to get away from the bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. We are located in Dong Anh, about 30 minutes from Hanoi city center. Our ranch features spacious play areas for dogs of all sizes to socialize, a salt-water pool, and a 1/2 km walking trail around a lake for daily exercise. Clients entrust us with their dogs when they leave Hanoi for travel, or send them to us to work on behavioral issues. Our head trainer has over 40 years of experience and expertise which, along with our excellent facility, separates us as a premium service in Vietnam, one of the first of its kind.
  
  Our team consists of 6 dedicated local staff who all share a love of dogs. We represent 4 different countries and span in age from 16-62. Our workplace is dynamic and fun and our dogs' well being is at the center of everything we do.
  
  Vietnam's cultural relationship to dogs has evolved tremendously over the last decade or two. For most of it's history, dogs have been seen as sustenance or protection for your home. This has shifted very visibly over the years and the idea of dogs being members of the family is now becoming the norm here. Aggressive dogs in the streets that I used to have to run away from or threaten to throw a rock at as a child have been replaced by gentle and affectionate dogs who just want a belly rub.
  
  A lifelong passion for dogs paired with a love of Vietnam and dog's increasingly exciting role in its culture inspired the owner to open this facility. We are still in our early days as a business and are excited at the prospect of cultural exchange and collaboration with Workaway volunteers. I have had the privilege of volunteering with amazing people doing great things all over the world through Workaway and am thrilled to be in a position to now be a host to you.
  
  This opportunity is well suited to someone who appreciates the rhythms of country life but simultaneously wants access to a city and all it has to offer. If you love dogs and are willing to contribute your skills and your energy to our team and our project, we would love to host you and promise that your time with us will be both fun and fulfilling.

  We believe in the exchange and are equally excited to learn about you and your culture as we are to share our home and our work with you. Hanoi is an incredible city that is dear to our hearts and we look forward to helping you get the most out of it. Every day at work we will have lunch together, eating delicious local food, and evenings are often spent together at our local 'Bia Hoi' where beers are cheap and refreshing. Hanoi has loads to offer and we can support you in finding means of transportation to enjoy the city after a shift or on your days off. If you want to stay away from the city, there are many beautiful escapes around us that we can help you to plan out.

  We are looking for someone who is willing to wear many hats in the workplace and put their best foot forward to pitch in to our shared objectives. Responsibilities will vary and can be catered to your preferences and your skills, but a willingness to help in any way is a must.

  - If you consider yourself a handy-person, things will come up regularly here that could use your touch
  - If you have a green thumb, our 4 hectare property and its gardens will be happy to have you
  - If you love dogs and want to learn from our experts to be a better trainer/owner yourself, then this could be a great fit
  
  We do not want to babysit or have to hold your hand through your time here as we have a lot on our plates already. Obviously we will give you a good orientation and training so you can contribute confidently from the jump, but we need you to be a proactive member of the team empowered to take initiatives. If you have other skills, we could absolutely find ways to make them part of your experience with us. I look forward to having that conversation with you.

  Acomodação

  Since we are just opening up, your living space is going to be a bit improvised but very comfortable. For the time being our best space to host you will be in the reception building of our facility. It is not set up as a bedroom but we have inflatable mattresses that can be set up after work and will need to be put away every morning. The reception space is very spacious, has both fans and an air conditioning, and a full kitchen that you would be welcome to use. Wifi is strong throughout the entire facility.
  
  If you prefer to have accommodation away from the ranch, we can look into finding you a cheap living situation nearby. There is public transport to the city but to maximize your sense of freedom, we recommend you rent a motorbike or scooter while you're here. We can support you in finding a good bike at a fair rate if that interests you.
  
  In terms of food, lunch will be provided every day that you are working. Dinners are often enjoyed together after work hours but you also have the option of cooking for yourself using our kitchen if you prefer. Vietnam is well known for having a wide range of delicious, healthy, and cheap food and we look forward to sharing it with you.

  Because of the extreme heat we get here, our work days start early. We are up and at it by 6am which means evenings before a work day are pretty low-key. If you are not a morning person, we can be flexible about what time of day you would like to be contributing.

  We are a dog facility so only dogs will be allowed. The space available to them will depend on how full our kennels are with client's dogs. Bringing a cat would be a BAD idea :)
