Staying with Haylee, Carmen and Stefan was wonderful! Immediately I felt very welcome, the family was very caring and sweet. Participating to their beautiful land and sharing dinners together, made me feel part of the family. We had open and inspiring conversations. My stay at their place made leaving the island even more difficult for me.

… read more winter it can be cold during night and rainy during day. The family has a nice caravan with a fully equiped kitchen and an outdoor shower with hot water. Who wants to live a little bit more adventurous on a beautiful island (with stunning views), is at the right place with Stefan, Carmen and Haylee.
I'm looking forward to see you back in summer and to stay on this georgeous island!

… read more are so inspiring, and I feel like I still have so much to learn from them. Our time there felt too short, but since I was traveling alone with my 2.5-year-old daughter, Emilia, the colder nights (around 6-7°C) were a bit overwhelming for me, so we left earlier than planned. I believe coming a month or two later would have been perfect in terms of weather. That being said, I would absolutely love to return, spend more time with this incredible family, and continue learning from them—and they have kindly welcomed us back! :) We also had an amazing time with Haylee, she is pure sweetheart. Emilia and her played a lot and she loved her!
There is a lot of work around their finca, but they are very understanding if there’s anything you’re not comfortable doing. My tasks included clearing big wood sticks from the property, brushing and painting new wood, shelling almonds, and, of course, petting their adorable cats and dogs. :)
As for the caravan, it had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and warm (thanks to an electric blanket), and falling asleep under a sky full of shooting stars was pure magic! It’s spacious enough, the kitchen is well-equipped, everything is clean, organized, and thoughtfully arranged. Honestly, there’s nothing negative to say—except that the mornings were a little chilly for us.
I can’t wait to return to this hidden treasure! 💛✨ thank you so so so much Carmen, Haylee and Stephan! I believe we will see each other one day :)

Elisa won our hearts in no time at all. She is very thoughtful and hard-working and we are very grateful that she helps us so energetically with our daily work. I spent 11 days at Stefan and Carmen's home. Home and not house, because as soon as you step into their land, you'll fell at home. Their beautiful family with the little Hailey and the over 12 cats and 4 dogs, have stolen my heart! They're special people, I loved what they have built from nothing in La Palma and what their plans for the future are
… read more as well. Was incredible how much love and passion and commitment they put in their life and in the care of the rescued animals they look after before searching for a new home for them. I wouldn't recommend anybody else if you want to experience La Palma and a simple, peaceful and fulfilling life. There's lots to do in their finca, help with watering, wood, work in the camp, help with the animals. And lots of figs and almond to eat for free, straight from the trees! 😉
My private accommodation was super comfortable, an old caravan extended with a tent, that has everything you need in it, plus outdoor warm shower!
I will always keep in my heart that place and the people, our nice dinners

Die Zeit mit Dir war echt schön! Wir konnten uns jederzeit auf Dich verlassen und Du hast alle Aufgaben sehr gewissenhaft und umsichtig erledigt. Die Kommunikation und Absprachen waren Dank Deiner Flexibilität total unkompliziert. Unsere Tochter Haylee war auch schwer begeistert von Dir. Vielen Dank für Deine Unterstützung! They trusted me with the tasks I got and really wanted me to enjoy the work I did. We had meals together and when the went somewhere they offered to take me with them. Ich durfte 2 Wochen bei dieser tollen Familie Nordwesten von La Palma verbringen und es war genial! Das Grundstück und die Natur drumherum sind wunderschön - vorbeirasende Wolken, Mondaufgang und den schönsten Sternenhimmel überhaupt! Ich empfehle duschen unter den Sternen :) Meine"Arbeit" bestand aus Gartenarbeit, Hilfe im Haushalt, Spielen mit Haylee, Katzen versorgen, ... Carmen und Stefan waren total flexibel mit den Arbeitszeiten, was perfekt für mich war. Sie vertrauten mir bei den Aufgaben, die ich bekam und es war ihnen wichtig, dass mir die Arbeit, die ich erledige, auch Spaß macht. Wir haben öfters zusammen gegessen und wenn die Familie irgendwohin ging, boten sie mir an, mich mitzunehmen. … read more wunderbar wiederspiegelt. Ein schönes, mit Liebe gestaltetes Grundstück in der würdeschönen, abgelegenen Natur von Garafia. Ich hatte viel Spaß an diesem Ort, und konnte vieles lernen, erkunden und genießen. Wer Lust auf den wunderschönen Norden La Palmas hat und ihn erkunden will, während er mit interessanten und lebensfreudigen Menschen Zeit verbringt, der ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. :)
I had been given the option to stay at this harmonical,friendly and openhearted families place for three weeks.It has been a beautiful time, the caravan is in top condition and offers every comfort you need.The work was difersive,and nice time at the fresh air, that I was able to choose when to do it.This really mirrors the Charakter of this wonderful place. A beautiful property, built and grown in the middle of the incredible, low populated nature of Garafia. I had a lot of fun at this place and was able to learn, expire, and enjoy a lot of things there.
