I picked up Spencer and Kelsie from the Library in the city with 2 enormous bags, and I thought - first time travellers. Although Spencer reassured me that they had used practically everything they had brought with them. We drove home and they settled in. We sat down to dinner every night, discussing relevant topics as well as what to do in Hobart
… read more while they were there. I have recently had a major operation and could not lift anything much. These two were amazing - they cleared 40 bags of garden material, Spencer and I got to know the Glenorchy tip very well on my Fridays off. I love cooking so I got out my vegetarian recipes and knocked up - thai red curry with vegetables, vegetable korma hand pies, roasted broccoli pasta (never tried before but delicious) and a homemade vegetable lasagna. I believe that the workaways need to get some sense of the place they are visiting so I took them up Mount Wellington for a panoramic view, then down to Salamanca for a potato cake - no not a hash brown. They were great company and were very self reliant, getting their own breakfast and lunch during the day and I cooked at night. For our farewell I took them to Brewlab which is a fantastic hamburger joint hidden in an outer suburb of Hobart. We had a great meal together. I really enjoyed their conversation and opinions on the world as they see it. It was really great to meet you both and I am very grateful for all the help you gave me. Muchas gracias!

My sister and I had the privilege of staying at Amanda’s beautiful beach shack in primrose sands for a week and a half and we had an excellent time. Amanda is kind, welcoming, and laidback lady. She is a very busy women so we spent most of the time alone at the shack, but in her free time she took us on a couple adventures in Hobart. She drove us

She gave us clear expectations of what she wanted done. She gave us a list of things she wanted completed and left us to our own devices to get things done at our own pace. She was very thankful for the work we did. Which was mostly simple home improvements like painting and gardening. The shack itself is a great stay. We had the place to ourselves, and we were given healthy groceries to cook throughout the week. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and we spent our breaks and evenings going for a walks, exploring and swimming in the beautiful clear water. The beach had tons of tiny crabs, starfish, seashells, and even the occasional wallaby in the evenings! Amanda is an amazing, laidback person with a lot of knowledge about travel and cooking, we enjoyed getting to know her as she has such a colourful and fun personality! We also got to spend some dinners in her home in Hobart and eat some of her fantastic cooking and she even sent us home with new recipes! Thank you Amanda for such a wonderful stay!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Stephanie and Alexandra are two very happy, relaxed and active workaways. I immediately connected and enjoyed their conversation. They were such good company and took great care of my Tassie shack. I also appreciated every task that they completed, and especially thank Alex for driving the ute to Primrose Sands with a load of plants for the

I recommend them to anyone as being positive, kind and grateful. I am very happy that we were able to exchange travel tales as Covid stopped many of us here in Tassie from going out of the state. My desire to travel, meet new people and share a table has been revived by these two. I managed to squeeze in trips to the Salamanca market, a visit to Mona, a trip up Mt Kunyani and dropped them off yesterday to the harbour to visit the city, museums and the docks. I even taught them a new recipe - Sweet chilli prawns! Thanks again for your efforts. Hope you enjoyed your stay as much as I enjoyed having you!

My boyfriend and I went to help Amanda with some painting, gardening and cleaning tasks.
She was really relax about the hours we would do in a day, as long as the job she asked was done. We also had the afternoon to do stuff we wanted (explore mount Wellington, go downtown, go for a ride with Amanda). We had an amazing time with her, not only for

Amanda was also in holiday when we visited her, so that's whe got to spend a lot of our free time with her (which was perfect!)
Thank you for all the delicious dishes, we took mental note of it and we will definitely do some back home! :)
Good luck with all your project, never forget to take some time for you!
In the meantime, we hope your garden will grow beautifully and we sincerely hope to see you again in the future, either in Montréal or in Tasmania by your outdoor kitchen! ;)
Take care and keep in touch xx

We really enjoyed staying with Amanda and Chita!
They are very easy-going and welcoming people with whom you can have delightful and funny conversations.
Work varied between picking up pine needles, gardening, cleaning, wasn't too demanding and could be done independently and in your own pace.
In the afternoon we could watch netflix or take their

It's important to Amanda and Chita that you not only work for them, but also get to see the beautiful spots of Tasmania (e.g. MONA, Port Arthur, Mt. Wellington)!
Coming back in the evening we could enjoy delicious dinners all together. Amanda not only ran a Café, but currently works as a cooking teacher - you're not going to miss anything! ;)
Our room was spacious, equipped with heating blankets (which were really useful in colder autumn nights ;) ) and a separate heater. The living room is heated throughout the whole colder season, which made getting up in the morning a lot easier :p.
Thank you guys for everything, hear from you soon!! :)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Thank you Paul and Anne for being such wonderful workaway help. My garden has been transformed and they were able to do the tasks independently as I am working every day. They are good company, quiet and friendly. They are happy to give anything a go and report back regularly to see if they have achieved my goals. They were also happy to clean and
