I am 46 years old, I am a woodworker and farmer and horsemanship-teacher. My daughters are grown up. In my place, there lives also my ex-partner, tenant Lisa and during summertime many friends and guests.
We have solar power and cook/heat on/with fire, resources are used with care and we try to waste as less as possible and use possibly organic soaps. The daily meals are based on what we find in the garden and root cellar 😊
I appreciate if you can survive without cellphone for half a day and have a solid self responsibility ☺️

You can learn Italian and/or German, go to the Locarno Film Festival in the summer and attend other local music festivals, you can also learn a lot of crafts here and i will explain you everything about the local cultural heritage and biodiversity!
Ajuda
On this small mountain farm with donkeys and horses, you will feed animals in the winter months and help with all sorts of pasture care , such as cutting bushes and digging thorns. You will learn to use tools and small machines and can learn German or Italian. In the summer months, it's all about harvesting hay, bringing animals to their summer alpine pastures, putting up fences, tending to the vegetable garden, etc.
You will only be involved in non profit tasks that serve for our self-sufficiency.
You should be comfortable hiking (fitness) and like mountains. (Quote by workawayer Cailin:”being athletically inclined and physically fit is beneficial “)
The mountains are steep here and sea level difference to move from one place to another can be up to 1300 meters.
I provide local vegetarian food as much as you can eat :-) . Normally you will only be on duty half days and have a lot of free time.
I like welcoming adventurers from all over the world that respect nature and share consciousness regarding solidarity and climate.

Acomodação
We have various options for accommodation, e.g. single room in the main house, small yurt, mountain hut, etc. Where you will sleep depends on the season.

We are near the river and there are great swimming opportunities here, the bus stop is 15 minutes away on foot and there is a connection to Locarno every half hour.
There are magnificent hiking and climbing options here, if you like these kind of outdoor sports/living, you are in the perfect place!
