  Our Monte is located in Serpa county in Baixo Alentejo. The area is absolutely beautiful, and located less than an hour from the Alqueva dam and the Guadiana park. Our land is 7 hectares, with a pond and dotted with many oak trees and olive trees. The property is a heaven for wildlife. We have seen more than 125 bird species. We have 2 dogs and a nice flock of hens. We created a permaculture veggie garden, an orchard, and we are looking for someone to help us steward our little corner of paradise.

  We are a french/american family with great interest in Nature : natural healing and cooking, birds, permaculture, etc.
  Also, our land is located in a rural and traditional area where you can experience a very real side of Portugal.

  As for any homesteader living in the countryswide, our our list of things to do, ideas and projects is endless :D Depending on your skills and wishes, but also on the season, you could help us :
  - watering our veggie garden and orchard
  - build more swales
  - plant more trees
  - improve our chicken coop
  - renovate our caravan
  - set up fences
  - create paths
  - prune our olive trees
  - harvest olives
  - trim brambles
  - etc etc
  
  Help with chores like cooking or cleaning the dishes is appreciated but not compulsory.

  You can stay in a private bedroom in our house, or in our tent by our lake.

  We do not have a dedicated space for remote work, but we do have wifi. Our wifi is great mostly in the living room and kitchen of our family house where you are welcome to come chill and work.

  There are a few flat spots where you can easily park your campervan and enjoy full privacy on our land.

  We have 2 dogs, a male Brittany Spaniel and a female Yorkshire type. We are happy to welcome your dog on our land. Unfortunately we cannot have cats as our dogs would not let them have a good time :)
