Help me run the place and with cooking. + Sharing my knowledge of plants and eco projects in Almere, Netherlands
Smallholding with lots of edibles in the Netherlands, outside of the city. In the near future building a house, the construction flooring is already finished. Now clearing the area and tending the garden! There's chickens, cats and turtles.
About the neighbourhood: It's only 6 years old so lots of people are still building and there's great community spirit. I feel rather lucky living here and would like to offer you the opportunity to see this and meet people. =] There are really nice neighbours here and we help each other out if needed.
The skeleton of the house arrives ... hopefully before the end of 2025 (so exciting!).

I love languages and would be happy to teach you Dutch and am interested in learning history and habits from other places in this big world. The plot of land is 2000m2 in size and the garden is very random and still in development as it's young and I'm still building. A bit of permaculture, a bit of vegetable garden and lots of flowers. I will happily share my love and knowledge of plants and what I don't know we'll figure out together :) There absolutely is room for your ideas and I will happily listen to your ideas and work them out with you if I think it is what I want, or didn't know yet I want :) I also draw and illustrate and can show you my gear, tips and tricks. My neighbours are all friendly people and we get along great, strike a conversation with them anytime.

Building a house in the near future and I am currently looking for companionship to help with the garden and cooking dinner.
We can discuss minimum working hours, no problem. I'm not sure I'm the best of cooks and unfortunately there is a list of things I shouldn't eat (lectin free and/or AIP diet) but we can work it out :) Help cooking will be really helpfull since I have a job and this project of building my own house to manage.
In the garden there is always lots to do! I hope you like digging, we can share the love of digging in heavy clay :) I don't have a drivers license so need help picking things up, I can borrow a (stick shift!) car easily.
- general decluttering
- make garden paths with available decking material
- chickens need more fencing and maybe a chicken tractor so they can feast on bugs and greens in different spots
- make low beds for vegetables, fill with cardboard and organic compost
- feed the chickens, land-turtles and play with the cats
- cooking is appreciated (I follow the lectin free diet; anti inflammatory and all freshly made, look up a yes/no list for information). I also have pressure cooker so I can make more food good for me to eat (Instant Pot)

I speak Dutch, English, French and some German. Happy to teach and learn new languages myself.
Acomodação
Caravan, fit for 2 people. Space for campervans and tents. The caravan is quite large, has a comfy 2 persons matras and a cassette toilet. The drinking water there comes in bottles that you can easily refill. There is heating, Wifi internet, a small induction plate and electricity in the caravan. Bathroom/shower/washing machine is with me in my temporary living accomodation, which is a tiny house, tiny kitchen (I dream of my future kitchen :) and a tiny bathroom and there is also a festival toilet in a builders cabin outside, open 24/7. I can host a campervan / motorhome / minibus anytime and there is space for a tent. Facilities are still basic but all there. In the summer months I can provide a nice (Coleman Octago) tent, big enough for 4 dwarfs so very comfortable for 1 or 2.

I'll provide you with a bycicle that probably works, public transport is at 18 minutes walking but not frequent. A weekend and evening bus goes at 40 minutes walking or 10 minutes on the bike. It's 25 minutes by car to Amsterdam and 30 minutes cycling to the train station. There is a organic market every saturday and the supermarket plus some convenient stores and supermarkets are at 7 minutes cycling. Almere Oosterwold is an experimental young neighbourhood outside the city. Only 12,5% of each plot is allowed to be built on, so there is lots of green and interesting architechture. 50% of the plots have to be dedicated to urban agriculture, free to fill in. The plots are large.
