  We are Yvonne and Daniel—a warm-hearted, active couple who is working and living in the Bavarian countryside. We run a lively lakeside property, and we’re looking for someone who wants to be an integral part of our small, energetic team.
  
  Fair warning: This is a real, hands-on environment. During the season, it can get busy and sometimes stressful. We value honesty and grit, but in return, we offer a completely flat hierarchy, a family-like atmosphere, and a stunning place to recharge.
  
  Your Role: The Heart of the Guest Experience
  The focus of your stay will be on our daily operations. We need someone who is proactive and enjoys being around people.
  
  Your main tasks will include:
  
  Guest Relations: Helping with guest check-ins and being a friendly point of contact.
  
  Kitchen & Service: Assisting in the kitchen and helping with guest hospitality/catering.
  
  Creative Landscaping: Occasional "green" projects—working with plants and helping us aesthetically shape the grounds.
  
  The Basics: Keeping the place running smoothly, which involves general help around the house and guest areas.
  
  What we offer (Your Home & Perks)
  We believe in a fair exchange. While the work is real, we want you to feel at home and enjoy your time off.
  
  Your own Space: You will have your own private caravan on-site as your personal retreat. The stay is free; we only ask that you cover the electricity you actually consume (billed by usage).
  
  Payment and contract:
  Wage: We pay €15 per hour plus tips.
  Official & Legal: Every team member is officially registered and insured (angemeldet).
  Hours: The position is based on a 40-hour week. Any work beyond that is treated as overtime and will be paid accordingly.
  
  Lake Life: In your free time, you are welcome to use our SUPs (Stand-Up Paddles) or our boat to enjoy the lake.
  
  Explore the Region: You’ll receive a Guest Card, which gives you free bus travel in the area. It’s perfect for exploring the Alpine foothills and nearby villages.
  
  The Team: We are a small, fun bunch. We work hard together, but we also enjoy sitting down together after a long day to relax and share a meal.

  Meet the Family (and Hedwig!)
  You’ll be living and working with us—Yvonne and Daniel. We are both in our late 30s, open-minded, and love meeting people from all over the world. While Daniel works full-time elsewhere during the week, he’s a whirlwind of energy on the weekends, helping with all things technical and maintenance.
  
  And of course, there’s Hedwig, our adorable dachshund! She is the true boss of the campsite and will surely steal your heart (and maybe a stray crumb or two).
  
  Your Base for Adventure
  Our campsite is a "Natur-Campingplatz" with 40 pitches and a few rental caravans. It’s a place of tranquility and natural beauty. In your downtime, the lake is your playground. Whether you want to clear your head on a SUP, take the boat out, or use your Guest Card to explore the nearby Alps by bus, there is always something to discover.
  
  We value a positive, fun, and respectful atmosphere. If you enjoy a mix of hard work, great company, and breathtaking nature, you’ll fit right in!

  As we run a guest-oriented lakeside property, our needs change with the flow of the day, but your main focus will be helping us create a great experience for our visitors. We are a small, fast-paced team, so we look for people who see what needs to be done!
  
  Main Responsibilities:
  
  Guest Hospitality & Reception: Helping with the check-in process, welcoming new arrivals, and being a friendly face around the site.
  
  Kitchen & Service: Assisting with meal prep, serving drinks/food to our guests, and keeping the dining areas tidy. During peak hours (like weekends or sunny lunchtimes), it can get quite busy and a bit stressful—so a cool head and a smile are your best tools!
  
  General Maintenance & Housekeeping: Helping us keep the guest facilities in top shape.
  
  Green Fingers & Creativity: We love to keep the place beautiful! This includes gardening, caring for plants, and small creative projects to enhance the "feel-good" atmosphere of the grounds.
  
  What we expect:
  We don't expect you to be a professional waiter or gardener, but we do value reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude. Since we live and work closely together, communication is key. We are very fair and hardworking ourselves, and we appreciate volunteers who take pride in their contribution.
  
  Language Requirements:
  Since you will be interacting with our guests, checking them in, and helping in the bistro, basic to intermediate German (B1 level) is required. You should be able to hold a simple conversation and understand guest requests. Fluent English is, of course, a great addition!

  The Reward:
  After a busy shift, the lake is yours! Grab a SUP or the boat, or use your Guest Card to hop on a free bus and explore the mountains. You’ll have your own private caravan to retreat to whenever you need your "me-time.

  You will stay in your own private, fully equipped caravan. While the stay itself is part of our exchange, please note that electricity is charged based on your actual consumption (metered). We found this to be the fairest way for everyone.

  Directly from our campsite, you can start your hike up several mountains—many of which are perfectly suitable for beginners. If you are into climbing, you’ll be in heaven: there are numerous climbing walls within walking distance. Need a change of scenery? A bus stop just 200 meters from the site connects you to the crystal-clear Walchensee, as well as to popular Alpine towns like Murnau, Garmisch, and Bad Tölz. Your adventure starts right at the front door!

  We are open to digital nomads, but please keep in mind that this is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with a fixed schedule, including weekends. Since we are in a rural area, our internet is reliable but not high-speed fiber optic and just available at the main building. If your own remote work is very demanding, it might be difficult to balance both. However, if you are well-organized and only have a small side-project, you are welcome.

  You are more than welcome to bring your own van or bus! However, please note that we can only offer you a spot in our dedicated parking area, not on the regular lakeside pitches. To make sure you’re as comfortable as possible, we provide you with your own charming, fully-equipped rental caravan as your main living space, which has everything your heart desires.

  Yes, you are welcome to bring a pet! However, since we have our own dachshund, Hedwig, and many guests with dogs on the property, your pet must be well-socialized and friendly with other animals. Also, your pet should be comfortable staying alone in your caravan for a few hours while you are working. Please let us know a bit about your furry friend in your application!
