My name is Riccardo and most of time I live here in a small valley.
I'm a forest engineer for privat and communal forest owner by a small NGO in Thuringia. The NGO helps the owners to plan harvest measures, to market the timber or to plan an implement reforestation.
So If you want to have insight in forest- and ecosystemmanagement you can help here in the NGO.
Furthermore in the near of the city Kahla is a little sawmill, with a big land site.
I want to combine those two projects. You can help here and learn something about forests and economic systems or help at the big land site.
If you are helping here at the land site or if you want to help in the NGO you earn a fair wage per hour from 10€ up to 15€ adequate to your skills.

There are always tasks in the NGO or at the great land site here. (:
Sometimes we need a helping hand to handle some timber or makin some firewood. Furthermore you may help at the farm or to look after the animals. Moreover there is some help with the trouts at the lakes.
In the early summer we need help to make hay and lead the animal on the pasture.
There are a lot of buildings which are old and we have to reconstruct them over the next years. You may help and learn something about the ecological buildingmaterial like clay and timber.
If you want to travel and help here, you get a free accomodation and a fair wage about 10 € per hour.

Thuringia and especially the Region "Saale-Holzland" near the city Jena is famous for wandering and outdoor trips to the big forest areas or the other beautiful landscapes. In the close pheripher is a beautiful river you can canoe, a castle and a metropol with young people with bars, raves and partys in the weekend. You may reach these places with bike, train, bus or by foot.
