Hans and Nienke are beautiful people living on a really nice property and I was very fortunate that I had to spend a little week with them. In exchange for a few relatively easy jobs, Nienke took me to the city, Hans took me fishing and I had to eat delicious food (fish catched by ourselves). Hans and Nienke made me feel really comfortable and
… read more told me a lot about New Zealand, they gave me some tips/"hidden gems" and even helped me with some administration.
I almost felt sad to move on, so if there is ever a chance to come back I definitely would do it. I need to beat Hans in table tennis one day...

Gijs stayed 5 days with us. He is an enthusiastic, well behaved young man with great work ethics. He was not afraid to handle tough tasks and keen to learn new skills. He helped cleaning the garage and house, including the gutters. He also helped moving heavy furniture and cleaning the boat, he even caught some decent fish. Recommended.
Johanna and Ben stayed a week with us. They managed to get 4 wool sacks of weed from the garden. The garden looks so much better. Very nice young people to have over. Polite and good company. Recommended. Johanna, I hope you have a fabulous trip in this stunning country. Ben, you should come back asap.
Johanna and I had a great stay with Hans and Nienke. We helped them out in the garden for a week. They are very kind and know a lot about New Zealand and its hidden spots which helped us a lot to plan the rest of our trip. We are glad that we could call this our home for a week and would definitely come back if we had the opportunity.

We spend a bit over a week with Hans and Nieke and enjoyed it very much. They were very kind and gave us a lot of recommissions for our travels. Hans helped us a lot with our car and they cooked some delicious meals for us.
The work consisted mostly of planting plants, weeding and painting.

Emily and Sarah stayed a week with us. We're very happy with their help, they planted a lot of plants, and did some weeding and painting. They were well behaved and we had some good conversations and laughs. We wish the safe travels and a lot of wisdom in making a choice for their studies.

Nienke and Hans are so lovely and kind people. We stayed here for 6 days, they welcomed us warmly and we felt very comfortable.

Amazing couple with an equally as amazing property right on the beach. Great conversation and great taste in music. They shared everything with us and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

We spent about 10 days at Nienke's and Hans' place. They are wonderful hosts and the house is beautiful and clean. Our room was spacious and we had our own bathroom.
The work was never too hard, largely rewarded with awesome food and Hans and Nienke always made sure we were comfortable and that we didn't miss anything.
