  Hi! My name's Josep, I'm 64 years old and I live with my wife Roser. We met back in 1974 and we have had six children together and now we have nine granchildren. I feel I am an active person who wants to learn new things; at my age I keep on studying. I always try to widen my knowledge of the world and of people, for me that's the most important source of knowledge.
  
  I am retired, but I like doing things and I keep working the land that I inherited from my parents. For some years I have been an active member of the parishes of the towns near me. I am finishing my theological studies and waiting my ordination for the diaconate.
  
  I was born and live in El Pla de Santa Maria, a town with 2.300 inhabitants in the comarca of Alt Camp. It's 30km away from Tarragona and 90 km away from Barcelona. The closest city is Valls, 10km away and it can be reached by bus very easily.
  
  We speak Catalan, Spanish and we have some knowledge of Italian. This means we don't speak English, even though the information in the profile is in English. We are countryside people, really.

  Hola! Em dic Josep, tinc 64 anys i visc amb la meva dona Roser. Ens vam conèixer l'any 1974 i hem tingut sis fills i nou nets. Em sento una persona activa, amb ganes de saber coses; a la meva edat i segueixo estudiant. Sempre intento ampliar el meu coneixement del món i de les persones, que per mi és una de les fonts més importants de coneixement.
  
  Estic jubilat, però m'agrada seguir fent coses i segueixo treballant les terres que vaig heretar dels pares. Participo activament des de fa anys a les parròquies del poble i voltants. Estic acabant els meus estudis teològics i a l'espera de l'ordenació pel diaconat.
  
  Vaig nèixer i vivim al Pla de Santa Maria, un poble de 2.300 habitants a la comarca de l'Alt Camp i a uns 30km de Tarragona i 90 de Barcelona. La ciutat més propera és Valls, a uns 10km i s'hi pot arribar perfectament en bus de línia.
  
  Parlem català, castellà i tenim coneixements suficients d'italià. Això vol dir que no parlem anglès, encara que la informació al perfil hi estigui. Som persones de camp, realment.

  We can offer a first-hand vision of the Catalan culture and the traditions of the land. We also offer our family affect because we want to share an enriching cultural exchange experience for all. We think that we as well as the people nearby are caracterized by our hospitality and amability.
  
  Through our lifes we have also going on travels to many places and some kind people have taken us into their home in exchange for company. We see the opportunity to now take people into our home as a way of returning the favor and to live the other half of the experience.

Oferim també el nostre afecte familiar perquè volem compartir una expèriencia d'intercanvi cultural enriquidora per a tots. Pensem que tant nosaltres com tota la gent dels voltants es caracteritza per la seva hospitalitat i simpatia.
  
  Al llarg de la nostra vida també hem fet peregrinatges i viatges a molts indrets i se'ns ha acollit a cases de gent amable a canvi de companyia i predisposició. Veiem acollir voluntaris com la nostra manera de tornar el favor i de viure l'altra cara de l'experiència.

  Ajuda

  We need help with the tasks of the land according to the time of the year. This means helping us with pruning, mantaining and harvest our almond, olive and carob trees. We'd also like some help with things like keeping the house clean or even cooking in the kitchen or helping with the making of preserved foods.
  
  The same quantity of time we spend working the land we will dedicate to things like culture, resting, reading, walking through nature o just spending free time doing something.

  Necessitem acompanyament amb les feines del camp que corresponguin a l'època de l'any. Això vol dir ajudar-nos a collir, espurgar o mantenir les terres amb ametllers, oliveres i garrofers. També ens aniria bé ajuda amb les feines de la llar com la neteja o fins i tot ajuda a la cuina o a fer conserves.
  
  La mateixa quantitat que dediquem a la feina del camp també la dediquem a la cultura, a descansar, a llegir, a caminar per la natura o a passar el temps de manera profitosa.

  Acomodação

  We live in a simple two-storie house from the 1940s. We offer a room with a bed and a cabinet. We have a shared bathroom for the whole house. We would eat all the meals together and we can adapt to all kinds of diets and preferences.
  
  
  Vivim en una casa senzilla adosada de dos pisos dels anys 40. Oferim un dormitori amb llit i armari. De lavabo en tenim un per a tota la casa. I els àpats els faríem conjunts. Adaptables a dietes diverses i a gustos variats.
  
  Per arribar al poble caldria arribar fins a Valls en tren des de Barcelona o fins a Tarragona i des d'allà ja us víndriem a recollir en cotxe.
