  Hello fellow workaawayers! I am Argyris 35 years old and I am from Cyprus. I live in a very beautiful village which is called Amargeti and is located in the city of Paphos. 2 years ago I bought a pice of land and started making my dreams come true! My main passion is growing veggies and fruits. Basically natural farming. I am in the begining of my journey so I need a lot of help🙂! Mostly I live of the grid, consuming my own fruits and vegetables. At this phase of the project I am at the beginning of building a small natural house for winter time, as also establishing a professional natural farming veggie land. There is a lot to share and learn. I consider my self a professional on natural farming and an amateur on natural building ( i am a fast learning individual) 😉. My knowledge on off grid leaving is quite big, so I have a lot to offer on daydreamers like me. My land is 20 minutes drive from city center, airport and the sea. Lots to see and discover! Volunteering here will give you a great chance to experience a taste of the Cypriot culture in all ways possible. Amazing and fresh organic food will be provided. Hope to meet all the enthusiasts soon!

  Our cultural exchange mostly derives from social exposure to other members of the village, some friends and relatives. We often have food together, small gatherings and party's. Also people from all over Cyprus are paying a visit.
  Mainly I can offer a great knowledge on gardening enthusiast who aim on food sufficiency. General knowledge on fruit and vegetable growing as well as more in depth specifics for all kind of plants.
  We also make our own sourdough bread , seasonal sweets and pastry. I could say that I have knowledge on many different areas of life , having to offer some expertise for people who ask for it.
  
  My main target is to meet like-minded enthusiasts who are willing to exchange life moments. Every new and interesting person is a plus in my daily life. Working producing and having social interaction will be a nice balance for me.

  Ajuda

  Mostly what I ask from volunteers is to be partners in crime! Work starts early in the morning , with plants watering , feeding the animals, cooking and different types of work depending seasonally. Pruning , grafting , planting , digging as also collecting the crops are major in this project. Also small projects with wood and mud are being created here. I am looking for passionated, energetic, self motivated people who are eager to learn and teach at the same time. Job tasks are very easy and understandable and you don't really have to know a lot to be helpful. Smiley and happy people will be a plus😄.

  Acomodação

  Accomodation for the time being is offered in camping tents. Clean bed sheets, warm blankets and pillow will be provided.
  I also have a compost toilet and an outdoor shower with hot water.
  Usually we have an early breakfast with a small break between work hours. Usually we have 2 main meals as lunch and dinner.
