  Hello everyone!
  We are a warm and welcoming family, happy to open the doors of our home.
  
  I am Germana, 46 years old, born in Palermo but I lived for many years in Tuscany and in England. I am a psychologist and psychotherapist and I run a well-being project dedicated to women. I love everything related to meditation and yoga. I am a happy mum, passionate about good food (even if cooking is not really my favorite activity). I would describe myself as lively, energetic and full of ideas and projects. I am a Gemini, I love travelling, meeting new cultures and discovering new places. I studied a bit of French and Spanish, but I speak English quite well.
  
  My husband Giuseppe is 45, originally from Milan, and a Virgo. He is reliable, kind and gentle, with a precise, tidy and practical personality. I am very lively and volcanic, while he is calmer and more concrete: we are almost opposites. But we complement each other. Sometimes his balance and calmness don’t match perfectly with my energy, but we manage our differences and, as in many couples, we get along well thanks to compromises. He works until 5:30 pm and then he dedicates himself to family life, resting, watching TV or enjoying simple things. Once a week we like to go out just the two of us, and another evening we usually go out together with Andrea and friends – and we would be happy to bring our workawayer with us, if she’d like to join.
  
  Our son Andrea is eight years old. He is a cheerful, very kind and good boy. He loves quiet games he can do while sitting, such as reading, writing and playing with Pokémon cards, but he also enjoys board games and swimming in the sea. He is a sweet, joyful and reliable child with a gentle nature that conquers everyone.
  
  As a family, we take care of our diet and try to live with kindness and positive energy. We enjoy spending free time with friends or meeting new people.
  
  During the weekends we sometimes move to our villa in the mountains, other times we go to an agriturismo or do interesting activities in Palermo. In the summer, instead, we spend July and August in our villa in the mountains in Mistretta, which is only 20 minutes from the sea and surrounded by countryside with an olive grove. The villa is very spacious, and the person we host will have her own private room.

  We would like to host a responsible and cheerful girl over 25 years old. We get along very well with dynamic, positive and open-minded people.
  
  We are looking for someone independent, active and curious, but above all a joyful, happy and sunny person who can bring lots of positive energy into our home.
  
  The ideal person enjoys spending time with our son Andrea: playing, chatting with him in English and sharing fun and creative activities together.
  
  We would also be very happy if you love cooking and would like to let us try some dishes from your country, or cook dinner with us, so that we can all sit and enjoy the meal together.
  
  We are looking for a non-smoker girl who can spend the afternoons with Andrea, playing and speaking English with him.
  You will be completely free in the mornings, as Andrea is at school until around 4:30 pm. I usually pick him up and bring him home, and then you can spend time together playing, reading or doing creative activities until dinner time, which is usually around 7:00–7:30 pm.
  We may sometimes ask you to keep Andrea company while we prepare dinner, or to help with preparing dinner yourself if you enjoy cooking – this would be very appreciated.
  If Andrea happens to get sick, I might ask you to stay with him in the morning. However, this is not always necessary, as I work as a freelancer and I have a flexible schedule, so I can usually reorganize my work when needed.

  Acomodação

  Our home in Palermo is very spacious and comfortable. You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom.
  
  The apartment is located just a few steps from the Teatro Politeama, in one of the most elegant, safe and lively areas of Palermo. It is also very close to the Teatro Massimo, and from here you can easily reach the Historical Center in just 15 minutes on foot. The neighborhood is very well served by buses and trains, and it is also full of shops, parks, restaurants, pubs and nightlife spots. At the same time, it is a quiet and safe area, perfect for going out in the evening and also enjoying peace and silence at home.
  
  The house is on the first floor with an elevator. You will be welcome to use the shared areas of the house — the kitchen, living room and terrace — mainly during mealtimes. After meals, however, our family usually needs privacy, so at those times the common spaces may not always be available. You will always have your private room where you can relax, and you can use the Wi-Fi connection with your laptop to watch TV or videos in your own space.
  
  During July and August we usually move to our villa in Mistretta, a very large house surrounded by countryside with an olive grove, and only 20 minutes from the sea. There too you will have your own private bedroom and plenty of space to enjoy nature and relax.
  
  Meals are included. I personally care a lot about healthy food, so I usually buy mostly organic and natural products, avoiding processed food such as snacks or junk food. I like cooking healthy meals for my family, and I would be very happy if our guest can also enjoy this and appreciate the same lifestyle.

  During your free time you can explore the beautiful city of Palermo, which is full of history, art, parks and attractions of all kinds. You can also take the train to visit nearby towns, discover Cefalù or enjoy the wonderful beach of Mondello, which is beautiful even in winter. Palermo has a mild climate with very little rain: temperatures rarely go below 10–11°C, often around 13–14°C, so even in winter it is pleasant to go out, walk around and enjoy the city.
  
  During the weekends, when we go on trips or eat out, we will be very happy if you would like to join us and meet new people together.
  
  Help and daily routine
  
  During the week our lifestyle is quite calm and well organized.
  
  We usually have an early dinner around 7:00 pm, so that Andrea can go to bed around 9:00 pm. I normally have lunch at home around 1:00 pm, while Giuseppe and Andrea eat outside during the day. Andrea finishes school at 4:00 pm: I take him there in the morning and I pick him up in the afternoon.
  
  We wake up quite early, around 6:30–7:00 am, and usually leave home at 8:00 am. However, it is not necessary for you to wake up early, as your room is in a quiet area of the house and you will not hear much noise.
  
  At home we also have a cleaning lady who comes every morning (8.15-12-15 am), so there will be no heavy housework required from you.
  
  During the week we live a peaceful routine, while on Friday and Saturday evenings we usually go out, so our schedule can be a bit more flexible and lively at the weekend.
