Hi We are Rachel and Ulan. We are both artists that live on a property in Bega - half way between Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. We have lived here for 20 years and over that time have created a beautiful home and garden.
Our 2 children are 23 and 21 and come and go from our home.
We have a number of animals including 2 dogs , chickens and some sheep.
We have built a natural swimming pool and have a large vegetable garden and many orchard trees.
Its good to give us advance warning of a visit so we can organise a project to suit your skills.
One of our other great joys is preparing dinner with a glass of wine.

We offer a beautiful artists retreat for travellers to come and rejuvenate. We have done a lot of travel ourselves and love the idea of opening our home to others.
We are happy for people to be independent but also happy to include you in any of our gatherings and parties with friends.
What we have found that works well is that we do the tasks for a few hours in the morning then eat lunch together. The rest of the day is your own. We ask that you look after your own breakfast and dinner to suit their own eating habits.

Ajuda
There is always different tasks to do depending on the projects we are doing. We are happy to be flexible with your interests and skills. Tasks include building, gardening chores, cleaning, plant propagation picking and preserving fruit.
Happy to set you up with an activity but needs to be an independent worker as we will be doing our art work.
Ideally we would like people to stay for 1 week

During the Spring and Summer we have a little house for you to stay in which is separate from our house with its own composting toilet. In winter you can stay in the little house as it has a fire or we can offer a bedroom inside our home. We also have a very large garden with lots of private areas to explore.

We are situated almost half way between Sydney and Melbourne and only 3 hours from Canberra.
We are surrounded by beautiful National parks and pristine beaches.
There is great surfing, fishing and snorkelling spots.
As we are only 5 minutes to town so we can drop you into town where there are shops, library, art gallery and access to buses.

We have loads of room to park a van/bus or camp set up. We have outside bathrooms and kitchens that are separate from the main house. You are welcome to choose where you'd prefer to stay

Their home and property, that they have evidently put much love and care into, is absolutely beautiful.
I had lots of free time and independence to explore the pristine surrounding area.
I would definitely stay there again!
