  MOST NEEDED WEEKS:

  Our organization is dedicated to environmental protection, promotion of active citizenship and cultural exchange through volunteering. We are based out of Celacanto, a restored house on a verdant promontory overlooking a beautiful sea, in Marina Serra, 3 km from Tricase (LE), Italy.
  
  We were able to successfully rebuild our garden space, which had been destroyed by a storm, thanks to the help of many generous Workawayers. What we need going forward is help with seasonal maintenance, before and after our summer activities, with an emphasis on:
  
  - sanding and painting
  - other light carpentry work
  - gardening
  - seasonal cleaning
  
  We usually host walking and cycling tourists during the months of MAY/JUNE and performing artists during the months of JULY/AUGUST, but if you are going to be in the area let us know and we can see if there room for you.
  
  P.S. Celacanto also houses an affable and adorable cat named Rino :)

  We offer accommodation, tasty local food and the opportunity to stay in one of the most beautiful and pristine areas of Apulia, which is beautiful even in the off season. Furniture and decorations in Celacanto are made with up-cycled wood and other materials, and this is a great place to learn about sustainable living and tourism.

  We need people with manual skills in order to support us with remedial actions such as gardening, painting, and light carpentry, etc.
  Any guests with special skills in carpentry are especially welcome to help us with our upcycling projects!

  Just 500m from our property you can enjoy a crystal clear sea water (just Google Marina Serra for an idea)...and for those looking for sand, there is a tiny beach about 3km away in Tricase Porto. Nearby on the coast there are charming towns and ports, natural parks, breathtaking grottoes and a plethora of nature walks and bike trails to explore. Not to brag ;) but Apulia is famous all over Italy for our cuisine and our local organic producer-partners provide access to the best of local biodiversity and sustainable farming.

  The internet connection in southern Puglia is relatively good, considering we are not in a major city. There are also co-working offices and resources locally in Tricase for those requiring additional space or privacy.
