Yannan came with two of her friends. All three very kind hearted lovely young women. They were friendly, easy going and motivated. They worked hard, were up for anything and had a hands on approach towards the work we did. They are very social and it was easy for them to have interesting and fun conversations with us, our intern and friends that
… read more came by. They also liked cooking delicious meals, which we all enjoyed. We really enjoyed their stay and their company and we hope they will visit us again some day in the future.

My two friends and I (all 21-22 year old women) had an amazing week long stay with Antoine and Margot and their lovely little girl Ayla. While we were there there was also another young woman doing an internship and we had a lovely time getting to know her and sharing the volunteer kitchen and living space. People came and went from the property
… read more throughout our stay and it felt like a friendly community. We had fun helping to build a new herb garden, weeding in the green house, moving wood and building materials and learning about the land the alternative ways of living from Margot and Antoine. The space was lovely. it's a bit of a work in progress so there will be mosquitoes and mixed matched bedding but it's all part of the experience. My time at la Resse was really awesome, Margot and Antoine welcomed me and myself and the other workawayers / interns didn't work for them, but with them, which created a great atmosphere for work. Also, I even had the opportunity to plan and start to build a sheep shed with them, which was only one of the great things I experienced in the time I

I see that in the previous feedback Joris and Mischa wrote about building the green house dome, so here is an update - it's almost done, we've already filled spaces with the fertile soil ;)
I enjoyed a lot working, cooking, mushroom picking, chilling and having meals
… read more with many beautiful people. We've never been less than 7, there were fellow workawayers, interns, and friends visits which makes this place very dynamic and fun.
Area around is very beautiful, you can go mushroom/berry picking in the forest, enjoy sound of the streams, and view of the skies filled with stars.
Many thanks to Antoine and Margot who are very kind and friendly to people! I'm happy to have met you.

Antoine, Margot & little Ayla have been awesome hosts and we really recommend paying them a visit. We had a wonderful time in La Resse.
The time we spent there was very inspirational. Every part of the property is designed in a special and careful way. There are so many things to explore and experience all over the place like bees, chickens, pigs and sheep which run around.
My favorite part was the vegetable garden with its mindblowing variety
… read more and well thought out permacultural structure. (And my favorites were the outdoor shower and fantastic self-made volunteer bathroom in the barn :) ). We were so lucky to be there along with several other travellers, workawayers, friends and relatives, forming a community in which everyone had certain tasks and could still feel so free. Work and fun blended together in perfect harmony. Every evening we sat by the campfire on the "party field" overlooking the valley under the stars.
One day, we helped to construct a big barn to store fire wood and hay for the winter. We had the satisfying feeling to have participated in something more meaningful than what we previously knew. Margot & Antoine have a really fantastic project going on here. My girlfriend and I stayed at La Resse for a week and in the duration we are able to have a relaxing and beautiful stay on the land, contribute our own skills to the project, and learn quite a bit about Margot & Antoine's goals for the project. I myself had an injured knee during our time there and was a little bit limited in helping out with the physical work, but was able to assist in helping out with webdesign and other projects that didn't require me to do anything to stressful for my injury. My girlfriend was able to help out in construction, woodworking, and gardening. It was really great that Margot & Antoine were accommodating and excited to learn about what skills we could bring to their project.
Our accommodations were really nice, in particular the bathroom that they built for the guests is great -- it has a really fantastic bathtub - it's giant and you can look out the window to see the star-filled sky in the night. The land itself is also really gorgeous, the forest is wild and beautiful and there are spots on the edge of the bordering river where one can sit and enjoy the serenity. Also, the animals are really delightful, and not to play favorites but we had a particularly enjoyable time with the cute pigs.
We had many great conversations with Margot & Antoine about what they are hoping to build at La Resse about permaculture, forestry, and building a healthy and sustainable ecosystem for all the living beings on the land.
