Hi! We are Alessia (38) , Luca (39) and Giacomo (9)
We live in Syracuse, in the countryside, only 1 km away from the sea.
Imagine an old Sicilian country house, surrounded by a large garden in the wild and a vegetable garden; furnished and lived in a simple but cozy way, in an oasis of peace and tranquility, a few kilometres away from the beach of ” La Pillirina”, in the Marine Protected Area of Plemmirio.

Here we make hospitality and we host cultural events.
We nurture relationships on the territory and promote a network between those who practice the change in their daily lives, spreading beauty and promoting well-being;we encourag a Slow Living and Slow Travel attitude, attentive to people and places.
We are very curious about other cultures, so we will be glad if you want to share our life when not working and at the same time we will manage to give you your free and independent time (Syracuse is not far and you can get to town by bus).
If you’ll spend some time here, please remember that we try to use carefully water, electricity and we try not to waste food.
We are happy to share some meals with you according to your and our needs.

In our big , fascinating, very old house there’s always something to do:
gardening , repairing broken things, playing an giving food to our 3 dogs and our various cats, reorganize spaces (inside the house and outside) and rooms, building stuff with recycled wood...
Giacomo doesn’t go to school and we share unschoolin ideas.
I need help with some daily household chores such as:
- feeding the animals (there are 6 cats and 3 dogs)
- Cleaning the kitchen
- Segregating trash
- Helping with cleaning the room
- Doing laundry
- General house cleaning
- Going for walks with the dogs
There are some extra chores I’ll ask you to help me with to keep my house tidy and clean (we can discuss what you could help me with) like organizing the pantry, deep cleaning some rooms or helping in the garden.

They were all very welcoming, I had the chance to taste sicilian food and learn a bit of italian. I enjoyed playing with Giacomo, Alessia's 6 year old son.
The house is calm with a beautiful big garden with cats and dogs, 20 minutes by bus from Siracusa.
