My partner Tilly (46) and me (Klaus, 71) are sailing around the world on our beautiful sailing yacht LAPITA. The ship (74ft) was built 32 years ago in the Netherlands. She is a luxerious, very well maintained steel yacht. We started our circumnavigation five years ago in Portugal. Currently we stay at Phuket /Thailand. Next year we plan to cross the Indian Ocean from Sumatra to South Africa. We speak native German and fluent English.
We are looking for a certified (marine) electrician/electronics engeneer who has experiance with the drawing of electric/electronic wiring diagrams to check, correct and complete the existing wiring diagrams on board.

We are looking for a certified (marine) electrician/electronics engeneer who has experiance with the drawing of electric/electronic wiring diagrams to check, correct and complete the existing wiring diagrams on board. Preferably you can use a diagram software to make digital drawings.
The ship is 32 years old and the electrical installation was overhauled some years ago. Many electrical and electronical devices where newly installed and connected to the old wiring. However, the respective wiring diagrams are still incomplete, especially the connections between the old and the new wiring. There are also some mistakes in the wiring diagrams that have to be corrected.
If you are able to do this work and have enough time to complete this task please let us know. You can sail with us until the work is finished. We think that the work could be accomplished within 2 month. We would pay a weekly salary that has to be discussed. On successful completion of the work we offer a bonus.

You will have your own private cabin on the ship including your own bathroom/toilet. You will share our meals (Tilly is an excellent cook!).
You can explore the beautiful island of Langkawi. Cultural interesting Penang and the gorgeous islands in southern Thailand are easy to reach by fast ferries.
