The Met services have announced that monsoon this year3026 is arriving earlier, in late October & not in November like usual.
So. In 2027, we'll be needing volunteers please,from end February or March onwards to help with the beach clean up, & re setting the campsite. The turtles will start coming up in April onwards, hence the beach must be cleaned. -

1. You'll be exposed to local lifestyle & buhome cooked food from food stalls in the area.y
2. Learn about fishing, their culture, difference in food flavours & ancient old recipes & easily pick up the national language.
3. Have easy access to the famous Redang, Perhentian & Kapas islands for diving.
4. March & Aprill is when the turtles come up to hatch very near the campsite. July & August is squid season. -

1. To maintain the cleanliness of the campground, swimming pool & beachfront. This will include raking the premises daily and keeping the beach clean. Every year after the monsoon, the tides and waves bring in tons of rubbish that can be recycled. April & May will be cleanup beach time.
2. To maintain the cleanliness of the amenities such as showers, kitchenette & dining area.
3. To maintain the cleanliness of the swimming pool & it's surrounding areas. Sweep dried leaves away.
4. To check-in walk-in campers or studio suite guests & handle inquiries. -

1. Accommodation is for solo travelersYou will be provided with a tent and sleeping materials on the campground in a cool and nicely shaded area in a gazebo.
3.There are many local food stalls nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
4. We do have a kitchen for you to prepare your own meals too. The campsite does not serve or prepare food. -

However, volunteers should be above 27yrs of age and must have reviews or feedback from previous hosts. Not accepting volunteers who are teenagers or in early 20s. You need life experience & manners.
PLEASE ALSO Remember, that workaway is not a community where you get free accommodation in exchange for some work.
And Malaysia is NOT an islamic state or nation. We are a diversified multi race &with multi religions, living in peace & harmony. Can you imagine the food.

Please also be informed, all workawayers will be required to send a copy of your passport with your details , the page with the Malaysian immigration entry stamp via WhatsApp. This is required by the Malaysian tourism police, who visit the premises frequently, checking in o the safety of all foreigners, residing in Malaysia during your brief stay. -

Amazing experience, the place is beautiful and quiet. We make our own schedule and the tasks are very varied (maintaining the grounds, painting, cleaning, etc.). Priscilla is not a demanding host, she is really nice and she quickly becomes a friend. Thank you for everything!

Hanh & Olivier are a lovely couple with good skills. They're hardworking, dedicated, passionate & punctual about their work.
They made a volleyball court on the campsite which took a lot of weeding and wheelbarrows of sand to create.
Hanh says she's not an artist but secretly she is. She's just doesn't know it yet. She's really good.
