  My name is Argo and I live with twelve adults and two children at a spiritual and inner research community built on deep respect for nature and all living beings.
  
  Our guiding principle is food self sufficiency: we grow and raise most of what we eat, and when that is not enough we choose organic and local products. We have several cats living with us, along with plenty of plants.
  
  Our project centers around five greenhouses where we grow vegetables, and a large wooded area where we cut and collect the wood we use to heat the community through the winter. We care about sharing the philosophy behind our natural way of growing and living together, more than teaching intensive or standardized techniques.
  
  We live in Valchiusella, a green and peaceful valley in Piedmont, surrounded by woods and hiking trails, with Turin just an hour away. Volunteers staying with us also have the chance to discover the Temples of Humankind, the underground artistic work that is a symbol, and to get to know more about our philosophy and community life.

  Living at this place means being part of daily community life, not just working side by side. Meals are shared together every day, and evenings often leave time for conversation and exchange with the people who live here. Volunteers who wish to can also take part in broader activities and discover more about the philosophy and spiritual research behind our way of life, including a visit to the Temples of Humankind, the underground artistic work that is one of its symbols.
  
  Among the people living in our community there are different skills and passions, ranging from dance to meditation, yoga, somatic techniques, coaching, cooking and alternative building, so there is often something to learn beyond farming work itself.
  
  We communicate with Workawayers in Italian, English and other languages depending on who is staying with us, and we always look forward to learning from the different perspectives, stories and backgrounds that volunteers bring with them.

  Our main activities revolve around the care of our five greenhouses dedicated to growing vegetables (sowing, transplanting, watering, plant care, harvesting and processing depending on the season) and the management of our woodland, where we cut and collect the wood used to heat the community through the winter.
  
  We love sharing our natural approach to growing food with Workawayers, working without synthetic chemicals and following the rhythms of the land rather than intensive or standardized techniques. We help alongside volunteers rather than just assigning tasks, so there is always room to learn and exchange skills together. More than teaching specific techniques, what we care about most is sharing the philosophy behind our way of growing and living in community.

  Acomodação

  Workawayers stay in one of our small private wooden cabins, located within the community grounds. Each cabin offers a quiet and comfortable personal space to rest after work hours. We also have a camping area available for those who prefer to stay in a tent or a camper. Bathrooms are shared and located in the common areas of the community.
  
  All meals are provided and shared together with the whole community, breakfast, lunch and dinner included. We cook mostly with what we grow and raise ourselves, and when needed we source organic and local products. Meals are mixed and include meat and fish. If you have specific dietary needs, allergies or food preferences, just let us know before you arrive and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  In your free time, the Valchiusella valley offers plenty to explore: hiking trails, woods, and a peaceful natural environment just a few steps away. Turin is about an hour by car and worth a visit for a day off.
  
  Volunteers have the opportunity to visit the Temples of Humankind, one of the largest underground artistic works in the world, and to learn more about the community's philosophy and way of life if they are curious to do so.
  
  We are a community with a shared rhythm of life, so we ask volunteers to respect communal spaces, meal times and the general atmosphere of the place. We welcome people who are open, curious and respectful of nature and of others. Please note that quiet hours start at 9pm, as rest is an important part of our daily rhythm. We are sorry but pets are not allowed.

  We have a reliable wifi connection powered by Starlink, so connectivity is not an issue. Our daily rhythm is structured around communal life and work hours, but afternoons are generally free, leaving time for personal work or online activities.

  We have a dedicated camping area where campers and motorhomes are welcome. Electrical hookups are available on site. Shared bathrooms and communal facilities are available to camping guests on the same basis as other volunteers.
