This is a vacation home on the edge of the forest at the foot of the low mountain range in the beautiful Saarland, a vacation destination for nature lovers and hikers. The wooden house has been in the family for three generations and I, Angelika, a retired teacher, have lived here since 2017, together with a cat and four sheep.
The sleepy little village of Waldhölzbach is 60 km from Saarbrücken, 30 km from Trier and 60 km from Luxembourg, so the area is also interesting for culture vultures.
I am very communicative, love good food and good wine and enjoy reading.
I speak German, French, English and Italian.
I generally enjoy working and am good at it, but am happy to have help with manual work inside and outside the house.
My workawayers have a room with their own front door. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with me.
Das- ist ein Ferienhaus am Waldrand am Fuße des Mittelgebirges im schönen Saarland, Urlaubsgebiet für Naturliebhaber und Wanderer. Das Holzhaus ist seit drei Generationen in Familienbesitz und ich, Angelika eine Pädagogin in Rente, lebe seit 2017 hier, zusammen mit einem Kater und vier Schafen.
Das verschlafene Dörfchen Waldhölzbach ist 60 km von Saarbrücken, 30 km von Trier und 60 km von Luxembourg entfernt gelegen, daher ist die Gegend auch für Kulturhungrige interessant.
Ich bin sehr kommunikativ, liebe gutes Essen und guten Wein und lese gerne.
Ich spreche deutsch, französisch, englisch und italienisch.
Die Arbeit mache ich grundsätzlich gerne und gut, freue mich aber über Hilfe bei handwerklicher Arbeit und im Gelände.
Meinem Workaways steht ein Zimmer mit eigener Haustür zur Verfügung. Küche und Badezimmer werden mit mir geteilt.

I enjoy exploring the wide range of cultural activities on offer with my helpers, which, thanks to its proximity to Luxembourg and France, gives them a sense of the European spirit.
The place also offers the opportunity to relax in harmony with nature.
My library has hundreds of books that are freely available.
There is a cinema in the village, and at the lake in summer there are always many concerts.

Zusätzlich bietet der Ort die Möglichkeit, im Einklang mit der Natur zur Ruhe zu kommen.
Meine Bibliothek bietet hunderte Bücher, die zur freien Verfügung stehen.
Im Dorf gibt es ein Kino, und im Sommer finden am See immer viele Konzerte statt.

There are always minor repairs to be done in the house.
Outside: mowing the lawn, trimming trees, removing leaves, shoveling snow, mucking out the stable, etc.
Es fallen immer wieder kleinere Reparaturen im Haus an.
Im Außengelände Rasen mähen, Baumbeschnitt, Laub entfernen, Schnee schippen, Stall ausmisten, etc.

Acomodação
My Workaways have a room with their own front door. The kitchen and bathroom are shared with me. The room is about 12 square meters and has a large bed, desk and sofa.
The bathroom has a bathtub with shower. A separate toilet is also available.
I am a passionate cook with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine, but I am always looking forward to new culinary experiences.
Meinem Workaways steht ein Zimmer mit eigener Haustür zur Verfügung. Küche und Badezimmer werden mit mir geteilt. Der Raum hat ca 12 qm ein großes Bett, Schreibtisch und Sofa.
Das Bad verfügt über eine Badewanne mit Dusche. Eine separate Toilette steht zusätzlich zur Verfügung.
Ich bin eine leidenschaftliche Köchin mit dem Schwerpunkt auf der mediterranen Küche, freue mich aber immer über neue kulinarische Erfahrungen.

My helpers work 5 hours a day at 5 days a week. The working day starts at 10 am, lunch around 1 pm and dinner at 7.30 pm. The minimum length of stay for my helpers is two weeks.
Open communication about your needs is very welcome.
The house has WiFi, its own access to the stream, plenty of outdoor space and is located on one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Germany.
Unfortunately, the village is poorly connected to public transportation. For sporty cyclists, the next larger town of Losheim am See is within easy reach. However, it is an advantage if my helpers arrive by car. There are plenty of parking spaces available. It is also possible to arrive in a camper van. The nearest train station is Merzig/Saar.
The lake in Losheim offers the opportunity for numerous water sports activities. In addition, concerts and festivals often take place here in summer.
Meine Helfer arbeiten ma. 5 Stunden am Tag an 5 Tagen in der Woche. Der Arbeitstag startet um 10 Uhr morgens, Mittagessen gegen 13 Uhr und Abendessen um 19.30 Uhr. Die Mindestaufenthaltsdauer meiner Helfer ist zwei Wochen.
Eine offene Kommunikation über die eigenen Bedürfnisse ist sehr willkommen.
Das Haus verfügt über WLan, einen eigenen Zugang zum Bach, viel Außengelände und liegt an einem der schönsten Wanderwege Deutschlands.
Das Dorf ist leider schlecht an öffentlichen Transport angeschlossen. Für sportliche Fahrradfahrer ist der nächst größere Ort Losheim am See erreichbar. Allerdings ist es von Vorteil, wenn meine Helfer mit eigenem PKW anreisen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind reichlich vorhanden. Die Anreise im Campingwagen ist ebenfalls möglich. Der nächste Bahnhof ist Merzig/Saar.
Der See in Losheim bietet die Möglichkeit zu zahlreichen wassersportlichen Aktivitäten. Zusätzlich finden hier im Sommer des öfteren Konzerte und Festivals statt.
