They have three CUTE DOGS !!!!!!! Onyx is always a cool girl, she doesn't speak when she is home, but when we walk with her outside, she is so happyyyy. Unique is so energetic, at home and outside, but she is nice, and Bonie, she is like a big sister, when we go outside, she takes care of they other two dogs too.
As the work, I work mainly in the garden, weeding, collect the strawberries, sending the snails back to the forest ; clean the house, sometimes I cook together with this family.
After the diner, we played games together for one or two hours, I've learned some games, and I play them now too. :) They took us（we had three workawayers then) to travel together, we have taken a lot of pictures on trip.

Miyuki spent almost two weeks staying in our house. Our paths had already crossed in a very unique way. Due to a cancellation we searched for a last minute workawayer who happend to be friend with a japanese girl who was traveling europe at that time. Since i was visiting Japan two weeks later we thought it would be awesome to practise my japanese
… read more before i left. And so we get to know Miyuki.
She taught me a lot of everyday-useful Japanese terms and made a list of greatest locations in Tokyo to visit with her local expertise for ideal spots for photos. She was quite helpful in the garden, watering, pulling weeds, and picking mostly berries in addition to helping with the Japanese.
In addition to working, we had a great time conversing and playing games. We are still in contact to this day, and we would love to welcome her at any time in the future ande hopfully this year we can make it happen to visit her in Japan.
We can only highly recommend her as a Workawayer.

I could not have asked for a better first Workaway experience! I was introduced to so many new things in this month; different Swiss foods, like Raclette, beautiful walks with some incredible mountain/lake views, and some fun in the snow!
They were very helpful in showing me what they needed me to do on the weekdays, always making sure I understood the tasks ahead before I begun. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for an amazing Workaway experience and family, look no further than here!

Our 3 weeks with the Lutz family has been the highlight of our 12 month sabbatical.
We were made welcome from the very beginning.
The accomadation was very comfortable.
The food was devine and plentifull, we had some delicious Swiss dishes.

We fell in love with Onyx and Bonnie and had to refrain from dognapping on our departure.😁.
The dog walks took us to some beautiful places.
We were shown some wonderful experiences, including seeing Michèle perform some great rock songs at a gig the second night we were there.
Being taken to the amazingly beautiful Swiss Alps and great glacier was so special for both of us. (Jaque's first experiance of snow).
In our free time, we visited Rapperswil, Lucerne and witnessed an exploding snowman in Zurich🤣
It was a real Swiss family experiance, eating together and playing board games on many nights.

During his three-week stay, Jacob proved to be an invaluable asset to our household. He assisted with various gardening tasks such as watering, weeding and transplanting some plants. Additionally, he contributed his time and skills to renovating my sister and her husband's home. Jacob also dig out soil for an additional parking spot.

… read more his helpful nature, Jacob was an absolute pleasure to have around. He was a great conversationalist and we spent many enjoyable hours chatting and playing games. Furthermore, Jacob was patient and supportive in helping me improve my English skills.
Although Sam, Jacob's dog, initially had some issues with asserting dominance and marking his territory in the house, Jacob handled the situation good, and as a result the occurrence reduced significantly over time. Sam proved to be a delightful companion on our many walks together.
Overall, Jacob and Sam's visit was a wonderful experience and we would be happy to have them stay with us again in the future.

After spending about three weeks with the Lutz family, I can definitely say that this was the most positive Workaway experience ever! Michèle, Ailan, and Monika are very kind people who made me and my pup feel like part of the family. … read more also have two incredible dogs, Bonnie and Onyx, who are adorable and playful.
When it comes to the work projects, they were laid back and never daunting. I was always able to go at my own pace and get instructions when needed, which was never stressful because the family is approachable and great at communication. It did rain quite a bit during my stay, so at times we had to figure out what needed to be done indoors. When it wasn't raining, I enjoyed my time in the garden doing yard work and maintenance projects. Digging, transporting soil from one area to another to make room for a driveway extension, trimming trees and bushes, mowing the lawn, organizing garden supplies, weeding, etc. There were even a few carpentry projects like helping their older daughter and son-in-law install insulation at their home, doing a little drywalling, as well as sanding and painting shelves to place plants on their terrace. Other tasks included basic household chores like taking care of dishes, sweeping, and even walking the dogs on numerous occasions. There was also a lot of English conversation going on to help them learn new vocabulary and refine what they already know, which is substantial!
On the weekends after dinner, I enjoyed learning new board games with them, even though they always destroyed me in everything we played, haha. It was good competitive fun. Another cool experience was attending a dog "military" competition (obstacle course) with them in Mels and seeing their canine companions in action. Also on my last day, they took me on a long hike to their local mountain, which was lovely. Oh, and I even went to Lucerne with Michèle to see her rock band perform. She is very talented!!!
All the while, there were a few challenging moments when it came to my dog interacting with Bonnie and Onyx. He got a little territorial and marked his territory one too many times in the house. Of course, this was a learning experience for me as a first-time dog owner and will certainly influence future volunteer projects. Despite this, they were patient and understanding, providing me with positive and constructive feedback to prevent this from happening again. The fact that they are dog training professionals and preparing Bonnie to become a service dog was a great inspiration for me.
Once again, thank you all for welcoming Sam and me into your world! It was a beautiful experience. I truly hope to stay in touch and cross paths again. Until next time!

Claudia and Felix stayed three weeks at our house.

They were also super cute with the dogs and went with us on a few walks and hikes. They never complained about anything and made the best out of every Situation.
Once we planned a hike to show 'em the beautiful Swiss mountain... But in the end we were walking 3 hours in the fog. Even though we couldn't see anything we had a wonderful time and walk. Instead we were collecting blueberries the whole way, so that in the end we collected 365g blueberries and at home we made a cake out of it.
Sadly Claudia showed a little allergic reaction to Bonny (the Goldador (Goldenretriever-Labrador), with Onyx it was good cause she's half Griffon Korthals). So she could still cuddle with Onyx, and also a bit with Bonny (just afterwards she needed to wash her hands and the the allergic reaction was good again). Felix, as a trained zookeeper... you just knew from 100miles away that he loves animals.
We also shared a lot of funny evenings with various games. They teached us Mexican train... One game more on our wish list to buy (We'll probably have it in a few week). Wa had a lot of interesting and profound talks.
We can only recommend you this beautiful couple. Treat them well and with respect and you'll never forget your time with em. We wish you all the best and save travels. Hope to see you on your way back again. Till the we we're looking forward to your status updates on your travels :)

The work: watering the beautiful and big garden, harvest the many delicous berries (straw-, black-, yellow and pink raspberries); cucumbers; black, orange and red tomatoes was fun :-) such a wide variety! Yum! We also enjoyed to weed the flower- and veggiebeds - to see the difference and before- and after-pictures gives you a satisfied feeling 😊 To watch Bonny and Onyx (their two cute dogs) was real fun, too! They are both so smart and attentive. Onyx is a therapy dog and the cutest was to hear her "sing" - our hearts melted away 🥰. Bonny is 4 months now and is going to be a guide dog - so impressive!
The food: three big meals a day - always very good, filling and variety 🙂👍🏻 big portions with desserts. We could not ask for more. Thank you so much for these meals! It was always a real feast.
The accomodation: we were privileged to have our own room, just like you see in the pictures. It was perfect. Enough space, privacy and the bathroom just directly next to "our" room. This is really not for granted and we are more than grateful!
The cultural exchange: we very much enjoyed to share very intese conversations about general topics, work and the differences between Swiss and German daily lives. The several marvelous outings to e.g. the beautiful Glarnerland with gigantic mountains and views, the "Elmer-Citro-trail" (to see the origin of the water for the Elmer Citro), to their "Housemountain" called Bachtel, the fun dog walks (sometimes with two other dogs called Sam and Django :) were very nice and always adventurous!! 🌞😃
Another highlight for Claudia was attending Michèles band practice twice. Thanks very much! 🎶
Alain and Monika gave us plenty of opportunities and ideas of sights to visit in our freetime. For example, we visited nearby Rapperswil - directly next to the beautiful Lake Zurich.
We cannot recommend this family enough as workaway hosts!

… read more at home, in exchange for just a few basic and simple tasks. After doing my tasks, I had the freedom to explore Hinwill and, mainly, the beautiful land and forests around the village. There are plenty of things to do and places to go in this tiny city even during wintertime.
You will not regret staying with this family! Michèle is the younger sister and she helps manage the workawayers, she is the only child currently living in the house. She is a very smart (is difficult to beat her in logic games), funny and talented singer/musician, she is also a good friend for you to explore the forests and talk with during this tiny adventure, she helps you to produce amazing videos and content for your insta profile (lol) and also can be quite a good ski teacher if you need one haha.
Monika is the mom, she is so lovely, patient, calm, and kind. She has a very good sense of humor, always telling funny stories that happen in daily life and making you feel joyful only by being at her side. She told me that she learned English only by chatting with the workawayers, so you can already assume that she is a very good and nice person to chat with. She is a nurse and takes care of needy people; kindness is a good word to define her!
Alain is the Dad, he is definitely a leader, that kind of person that always knows what to do and a person that you know you can trust. He is very creative and organized, and also an extremely intelligent man. You can easily talk about any subject with him that you will not be disappointed, from politics, culture, music, and jokes, it's definitely not difficult to spend hours talking with him. He clearly loves his family more than anything and is an admirable man, he treats you with comprehension and respect, therefore I'm very grateful for the time that I spent with him too!
I've also had the pleasure to meet Dominique and Oli, the sister and brother of Michèle. They are both very charismatic and open-hearted. Dominique seems like a very smart and responsible person, she does an admirable job, taking care of disabled children with her friends that I also had the pleasure to meet. Oli is a super funny and open-minded guy who you can have a lot of good fun with, especially if his friend, Keller, is around too. He is a very kind and comprehensive friend too, and a really good party buddy.
There are the dogs, Onyx and Vasco; both really cute and easy to build a connection with. Onyx is very smart and easy to deal, Vasco is a huge puppy that still gets scared by strange people and other dogs, but he is very lovely too, so you don't need to worry.
During the night we always played board games after eating good food. Since they all have good music taste there was always good music to listen to. The family dynamic is really similar to my own family, so it was pretty easy for me to feel comfortable and free there.
This family made me feel good and happy during the entire time I was with them, they offered me amazing experiences and introduced me to incredible places and moments that I will carry with my heart and never forget. Switzerland is a special place for me because of those people!

In the beginning I was quite stressed about this trip, because it was my first experience with Workaway, but as soon as I get to the house I felt relieved. I was welcomed by a smiling and open family. With time, it got even better when we got to know each other better. Thanks to the Lutz family, I have been able to experience many amazing things. I will never forget all the great moments we had together. I will never forget great walks, sunsets and evenings with board games. When Michéle showed me new, unconventional hiking trails, she played the piano in the evenings, and even once I was invited to a private concert by her rock band. Monika was the best partner to the team in board games, she is one of the warmest and nicest people I know. With Alain you can talk about everything, I really liked exchanging our opinions, participate in yodeling concert and reaching the summit of the mountain, which was almost 3000 m above sea level. I had a wonderful time with Vasco and Onyx, two of the sweetest and smartest dogs in the world!
Thanks to you I created amazing memories that will stay with me forever! I hope you’re doing well, I really miss you guys. You will always stay in my heart, thank you for everything, can’t wait to see you again.

Staying in Hinwil, Switzerland at the home of Onyx and Vasco was my first workaway experience. I couldn't really get any better. The Lutz family are wonderful, loving and extremely helpful. For a little help at home, I got the opportunity to get to know the beauty of Switzerland, nature, sunsets and culture in this country. I even went to the yodeling concert wow! Thank you Alain! The help, support and family warmth that come from Monika is an amazing experience. Support, smile and amazing passions are short words that can be used to describe Michele. I only spent a week there because the work in Poland called for it, but despite such a short time, it was an amazing adventure and I am extremely grateful to the whole family. Two little loving and extremely energetic dogs - Onyx and Vasco are two cuddly dogs, thanks to which you have a smile on your face every minute of the day. I really appreciate being able to stay at their home. I hope we will meet again someday! I would definitely recommend anyone to stay in this house!

We already miss her delicous cooking. We even made her to freeze some of it that we can enjoy it later. She helped with the harvest to gather, cut and freeze or cook it.
She is very eager to learn and even downloaded Rummikub (a game that we often play) on her phone to be better the next time when playing with us. We had tons of exciting and thrilling conversations. It was always a pleasure to chat with her.
The second time that she came she took some glutenfree food with her. As they're cheaper and they have more variety in Austria.

… read more her. He was just great with Onyx and Vasco (Our two dogs) He did everything like we told him to do. Vasco just came that week to us as a little puppy that had a first bad experience... and so we didn‘t wanted that the workawayer does to much with him. but alejandro did great and memorized everything we told him how we like to handle Vasco.
He also did a great job in our and at my sisters garden. weeding and cutting and chopping trees.
His English is really good he was able to speak in simple english with my mum so that she could understand but also philosophize with me about chocolate and other weird stuff :)
he is a very positiv and easy going person. you cannot different than just love him. He manage with his heartwarming personality to even convince our friends who couldn't understand why we always take workawayer or who couldnt speak that good english to talk with him and invite him again for bbq.

… read more and pure passion. Monika was my friend, a person who was always there to help me and to make me laugh. She is going to make you feel at home since you enter to that beautiful house. Alain has represented many things for me, he was the person who I could talk with about any topic, who was able to make me laugh with his great sense of humour or who would tell me how I could do something better when I didn’t do something right. But, besides all that, Alain has been someone who I truly admire because of his huge heart and his self-confidence. Finally, I can’t forget Vasco, the happiest dog of the world, and Onyx, my little dog that I will miss a lot. Who am I going to go to see the sunset with now, Onyx?
Switzerland has been the most beautiful country I have visited: Its cities are wonderful, I had the chance to visit Basel, Zurich, Bern, Luzern and the south of the country (including Lugano, right Monika?). However, what really makes Switzerland one of the most beautiful countries in the world is its nature, and I had the chance to see some of its 3000m mountains, hundreds of waterfalls, lakes bigger than whole cities, rivers with crystal clear water, stunning sunsets and much more. I really fell in love with this country, and I’m sure I will come back many times.
In conclusion, just by helping in the garden and with some daily tasks, I had the most beautiful experience of my life thanks to three heroes that made me feel at home. I will really miss you. I won’t never thank you enough.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

If you want to practise English i can only recommend Erin. My mum and sister who normally always want me to translate the things or just speak less with people. Just spoke English with her, cause she has so much to give.
She did a very good Job in our garden and also helped at my sisters garden with cutting trees. She just saw the work that needed to be done. We only had to give her little instructions and the Job was done.

So together they complemented each other just perfectly. We had a lot of fun time with playing games and watching movies. They did a good job with cleaning in the house once a week, laminated one room, painted the cellar and digitalized a huge amount of dias. Cristian somehow convinced me to draw a manga for the japan international manga award - i was never more motivated to draw. Sorry for the late feedback, we were so relaxed as you were here that we forgot how it is when you have to do the things yourself again.
Peter Emi and the Kids helped us 2 months. They always saw the work to do and when we explained something once (like where to put which green waste) they automatically checked it every day and made it when it
… read more had to be done. When they cooked for Tiago lunch they always asked us if we want to eat now too or later (Tiago ate about 11AM). Then they also looked that is is gluten free so that we can eat it too and when they weren't sure they were'nt afraid of asking. They even showed us a gluten free cookie recipe (which is my favourite now).
They often went out with Onyx for a walk.
Peter painted the walls like a pro and he was eager to do his best. We've never expected such a great outcome. All the things they had done they made with great effort. We are very thankful and pleased with everything.
We had such great talks and learned so much from New zealand and also from Bali where they were before. In no time we were like besties. Solana tought me how to count in te reo (the language spoken by the Maori).
After a hard working day they made us smile again. They corrected my English and helped my mum to find the words she searched. We all learned from them an were able to improve our English.
When Emi was sick, Solana jumped in and helped me to order my sewing table, including to sort the buttons. I couldn't imagine a better worker for that. Anyone else would have freaked out cause of such a silly work. Also with other work Solana tried her best to help. Tiago is a real sunny boy, for an 18 month old he had very good manners. Peter and Emi always did their best that the kids don't disturb, for us it was always ok and we never felt disturbed. They filled our house whith so much life, love and energy. When they were gone it felt like something was missing.
We miss you all so much and hope to see you again sometimes
