  Hello! My name is Dan, and I live in Santiago, Chile, in a workshop-house where I work in artisanal bookbinding and risograph printing. It's a place I've built over time, filled with materials, colors, plants, and details that reflect my way of living and working. What I like most about this space is that, despite being in the city center, it's very quiet and has lots of natural light. It's a creative and cozy haven. The house is located in a well-connected residential neighborhood, about a 10-20 minute walk from three metro stations. From here, it's easy to get around the city, but it's also a great place to stay and just be. There are street markets, bookstores, bakeries, and plazas nearby. If you like walking, biking, or exploring the city at your own pace, I think you'll really like this area. During your stay, you'll meet Suki, my companion dog, and Domino, a calm and observant cat. They are an important part of the home. You'll also meet someone who works with me in the workshop; He comes a few times a week to assist with production tasks and can help if any questions arise or if you need support with any day-to-day tasks. I'm planning a two-month trip (from August 3 to October 7, 2025), and I'd like someone to come live in the house during that time, enjoy it, and keep it alive.
  
  
  Hola! Me llamo Dan y vivo en Santiago de Chile en una casa taller donde trabajo en encuadernación artesanal e impresión risográfica. Es un lugar que he ido construyendo con el tiempo, lleno de materiales, colores, plantas y detalles que reflejan mi forma de vivir y trabajar. Lo que más me gusta de este espacio es que, a pesar de estar en el centro de la ciudad, es muy tranquilo y tiene mucha luz natural. Es un refugio creativo y acogedor.
  
  La casa está ubicada en un barrio residencial muy bien conectado, a unos 10–20 minutos caminando de tres estaciones de metro. Desde aquí es fácil moverse por toda la ciudad, pero también es un buen lugar para quedarse y simplemente estar. Hay ferias libres, librerías, panaderías y plazas cerca. Si te gusta caminar, andar en bici o explorar la ciudad a tu ritmo, creo que te va a gustar mucho esta zona.
  
  Durante tu estadía conocerás a Suki, mi perrita compañera, y a Domino, una gatita tranquila y observadora. Ellas son parte importante del hogar. También conocerás a una persona que trabaja conmigo en el taller; viene algunas veces por semana a apoyar en tareas de producción y puede ayudarte si surge alguna duda o necesitas apoyo con algo del día a día.
  
  Estoy planeando un viaje de dos meses (del 3 de agosto al 7 de octubre de 2025), y me gustaría que durante ese tiempo alguien venga a habitar la casa, disfrutarla y mantenerla viva.

  Although the experience I offer isn't one of a large community or group tasks, I do believe it can foster a warm and respectful coexistence. During your stay, you'll share the house with the animals and, at times, with someone who help me in the workshop. There's no fixed social routine, but if you're interested in chatting, sharing knowledge, or just hanging out, I'm always open to that. The person who do tasks with me has experience in bookbinding, risography, and other crafts, so if you're interested in the publishing, graphic arts, or artistic world, it's possible an interesting exchange could take place. Personally, I also enjoy sharing knowledge about bookbinding and risography when there's time and desire. The neighborhood is residential, but very connected to various cultural spaces, fairs, bookstores, and cafes. It's close to the historic center, museums, and Santa Lucía Hill, among other points of interest. I think it's a good area to walk, explore, and connect with the city's everyday life.
  
  
  Aunque la experiencia que ofrezco no es de comunidad grande ni de trabajo grupal, sí creo que se puede generar una convivencia cálida y respetuosa. Durante tu estadía compartirás casa con los animales y, en algunos momentos, con una persona que trabaja conmigo en el taller. No hay una rutina social fija, pero si te interesa conversar, compartir conocimientos o simplemente acompañarse un rato, siempre estoy abierta a eso.
  
  La persona que trabaja conmigo tiene experiencia en encuadernación, risografía y otros oficios manuales, por lo que si tienes interés en el mundo editorial, gráfico o artístico, es posible que se dé un intercambio interesante. En lo personal, también me gusta compartir saberes sobre encuadernación y risografía cuando hay tiempo y ganas.
  
  El barrio es residencial, pero muy conectado con distintos espacios culturales, ferias, librerías y cafés. Está cerca del centro histórico, de museos y del cerro Santa Lucía, entre otros puntos de interés. Creo que es una buena zona para caminar, explorar y conectar con lo cotidiano de la ciudad.

  What I'm looking for is someone to take care of my house while I'm away. The main tasks are caring for my two pets: Suki, a very sweet and friendly dog, and Domino, a calm and somewhat shy cat. Both are used to the home routine and are very easygoing, but they need attention, affection, and companionship. There are also many plants inside and outside the house that need regular watering and some care. I would like the person who comes to enjoy being at home, to value the spaces they live in, and to feel comfortable living calmly, with respect and care for their surroundings. This doesn't mean physical labor or rigid schedules, but rather a constant and committed presence, with a willingness to observe, maintain basic order, and react if something isn't right. During your stay, someone will occasionally come to work in the bookbinding workshop. It's not necessary to be involved in these tasks, but if you're interested in learning about the trade or exchanging knowledge, you're always welcome. I value calm exchanges, unhurried conversation, and the opportunity to learn from others without imposing anything.
  
  
  Lo que busco es alguien que cuide de mi hogar mientras estoy de viaje. Las tareas principales son cuidar a mis dos mascotas: Suki, una perrita muy dulce y compañera, y Domino, una gatita tranquila y algo tímida. Ambas están acostumbradas a la rutina del hogar y son muy fáciles de llevar, pero necesitan atención, cariño y compañía.
  
  También hay muchas plantas dentro y fuera de la casa que necesitan riego regular y algo de cuidado. Me gustaría que la persona que venga disfrute de estar en casa, que valore los espacios habitados y se sienta bien viviendo en calma, con respeto y cuidado por lo que le rodea.
  
  No se trata de trabajo físico ni de horarios rígidos, pero sí de una presencia constante y comprometida, con disposición a observar, mantener el orden básico y reaccionar si algo no está bien.
  
  Durante tu estadía, vendrá ocasionalmente una persona a trabajar en el taller de encuadernación. No es necesario involucrarse en esas tareas, pero si surge el interés por conocer el oficio o intercambiar saberes, siempre es bienvenido. Valoro mucho los intercambios tranquilos, la conversación sin apuro y la posibilidad de aprender del otrx sin imponer nada.

  The person who comes to house sit during my absence will have a private room with its own bathroom within the same house. The space is comfortable, bright, and quiet. It is furnished with the essentials: a queen-size bed, desk, chair, closet, and clean bedding. It is not shared with other people. The house is safe and located in a residential neighborhood in downtown Santiago. It has a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and several common areas that can be used freely and respectfully: the dining room, living room, terrace, and patio. It is a place designed for relaxing, working, or relaxing. Meals are not included, but the kitchen is fully equipped and you are welcome to use it without any problem. There are street markets nearby, supermarkets, and all kinds of shops within a few minutes' walk, so it's easy to organize cooking or eating out. If you are interested in plant-based or vegan cuisine, the neighborhood also has several interesting options.
  
  
  La persona que venga a cuidar la casa durante mi ausencia tendrá una habitación privada con baño propio dentro de la misma casa. El espacio es cómodo, luminoso y tranquilo. Está amoblado con lo necesario: cama de plaza y media, escritorio, silla, clóset y ropa de cama limpia. No se comparte con otras personas.
  
  La casa es segura y está ubicada en un barrio residencial del centro de Santiago. Tiene cocina equipada, lavadora, wifi y varios espacios comunes que se pueden usar con libertad y respeto: comedor, living, terraza y patio. Es un lugar pensado para estar, trabajar o descansar.
  
  Respecto a las comidas, no se ofrecen comidas incluidas, pero la cocina está completamente equipada y puedes usarla sin problema. Hay ferias libres cerca, supermercados y todo tipo de comercio a pocos minutos caminando, así que es fácil organizarse para cocinar o salir a comer. Si te interesa la cocina vegetal o vegana, el barrio también tiene varias opciones interesantes.

  During your free time, there are many options for enjoying the city. The house is located in downtown Santiago, about a 10-20 minute walk from three metro lines, making it easy to get around the city. There are also buses, bike paths, and ride-hailing apps. From here, it's easy to reach museums, cultural centers, parks, hills, libraries, bookstores, cafes, and fairs. If you enjoy walking or exploring new places, Santiago has a lot to offer. Regarding living arrangements, I want the person who comes to value tranquility, respect for shared spaces, and care for their surroundings. It's not a house for parties or inviting other people to stay. It's important to maintain cleanliness, especially in the common areas, and to respect the pets' rest time. There are no strict rules, but there is a way of inhabiting the space with attention and love. I want the person who comes to feel good and confident, but also committed to the responsibility that comes with caring for a living, inhabited house.
  
  
  Durante el tiempo libre, hay muchas opciones para disfrutar la ciudad.   Sobre la convivencia, me importa que la persona que venga valore la tranquilidad, el respeto por los espacios compartidos y el cuidado de lo que está a su alrededor. No es una casa para fiestas ni para invitar a otras personas a quedarse. Es importante mantener la limpieza, especialmente en los espacios comunes, y respetar el descanso de lxs animales.
  
  No hay reglas estrictas, pero sí una forma de habitar el espacio con atención y cariño. Me interesa que quien venga se sienta bien y en confianza, pero también comprometide con la responsabilidad que implica cuidar una casa viva y habitada.
