    Descrição

We are currently looking for someone who can stay with us from 22nd Oct or the end of Nov and stay for more than two months.

We're just an ordinary Japanese family living in the heart of Tokyo. Our home is full of energy, creativity, and curiosity thanks to our three kids. We host Workawayers not just for help, but to share culture, build friendships, and create lasting memories together.

We have three kids aged between 3 and 7. The older two are quite independent and can do a lot of things on their own so a lot of times they need accompany, supervision and encouragement. The oldest boy likes Bayblade. Our daughter loves Disney Princesses. The youngest one likes vehicles. They are all full of energy.

You would be able to experience an ordinary urban Japanese lifestyle through staying with us.

Our main reason for hosting is to give our kids a chance to experience different cultures and languages. We’d love for you to share your traditions, hobbies, and creativity with them—like teaching songs, games, or simple recipes from your home country!

In return, we're excited to share our family life, Japanese culture, and local experiences with you. We want this to be a mutually enriching exchange.

Here we have so many seasonal events and you will be able to enjoy the city from local perspective. If you are here in the spring, we can watch sakura bloom together. If you are in the summer, we can go to the beach together and also go to local summer festivals. If you are here in the fall, we can climb a mountain together and watch the red and yellow leaves on the tree. If you are in the winter we can go skiing together. If you also like Sanrio, we can go to Sanrio Puroland together. The list goes on.

We have been to a lot of places all over Japan and also other countries like Taiwan, Korea and Thailand with workawayers. We loved Thailand so much so we want to go back there again. We also like to go to cute cafes, nice restaurants, parks, amusement parks, beaches, resorts and islands.

If you love kids, are interested in Japanese culture and want to try to live here for a few months to see this country, this would be perfect place for you. Immerse yourself fully into an urban life in Tokyo and let’s explore the country with us.

    Ajuda

We'd like to host workawayers who love kids and speak fluent English. We are looking for someone who is friendy, punctual, communicative, responsible, hygienic, tidy, open-minded, and willing to help out.

During weekends and holidays we often visit parks, science museums, theater (kabuki, sumo etc), zoo, aquarium and amusement parks so it would be great if you also like those kind of activities and could join us. When we go out together we will pay for the admission tickets and also food. We can also enjoy seasonal events like hanami together. During summer, we often go to water parks and beaches. In August there are summer festivals every weekends. In winter we go to Niigata to enjoy snow mountain and onsen so it would be great if you like skiing. The kids like beaches so we go to the islands in Okinawa often. We have a family in Sapporo so we visit them sometimes.

We have a dishwasher and use online supermarket so you won’t have to wash the dishes or go grocery shopping.

We ask workawayers to speak English to the kids so if your primary purpose to come to Japan is to learn the language then this might be not be the best environment.

Please note that medical care is not free in Japan so please have a health insurance while you stay in Japan. Please also note that we do have a preference of working with female workawayers.

Due to large volume of requests we would like to give this opportunity to someone who we think we can be both beneficial. In addition to be able to just enjoy ordinary Japanese life, someone who is ready to jump in and enjoy the activities and trips with the kids and can be more like their friends than just a care giver would be more fitting. Only the youngest one needs a care giver and other kids are quite independent so they usually just need accompany to enjoy.

    Acomodação

Workawayers stay in the guest room in our flat. You will have your own bedroom, shared bathroom and kitchen. Our apartment is located in a pretty convenient area in Chiyoda-ku, which is 10 mins from Tokyo station and Ueno station, 15 mins from Ginza and Tsukiji, and 20 mins from Asakusa. 30 minitus to Shinjuku and 40 minutes to Shibuya and Harajuku. Also access to airports is good: 40 minutes to Haneda and 70 minutes to Narita. You can walk to Akihabara, Kanda, Ueno, Ningyocho and Nihonbashi. You will have a plenty of opportunities to explore Tokyo. You can just walk to some of the major area in Tokyo and also Tokyo has an extensive public transportation system so it is easy to access everywhere in Tokyo and also to any other cities in Japan.

Tokyo is an amazing city that offers so many places to visit, so many things to do and eat so you will never be bored here. There are always something going on. In addition to exploring the city you can also enjoy trip to other cities such as Okinawa, Sapporo and Osaka. My sister lives in Sapporo and she is also a workaway host so our workawayers sometimes also go stay with her. Also Seoul is only two hours away by airplane and it is very fun city and very different from Tokyo so it could be a good weekend trip option.

As for meals, breakfast and lunch you can help yourself. There are usually oat meal, cereal, yogurt, vegetables, fruit, egg, bread, pasta and other things that are easy to eat in the kitchen so please feel free to help yourself. Dinner you can always eat with the kids and it is also ok if you don’t feel like what we prepare and you can prepare your own food. We eat meat often and the kids like to eat happy meal at McDonalds. We also order pizza once a week. This environment might be difficult if you are a vegetarian or have food restriction.

I personally had a difficult time when I lived in Boston because of my language skill. Many good people helped me during my stay, so I'd like to give them back to people who stay in Japan.
