We operate a NGO in Cisnadie, Romania. Our charity provides help to the poor and underprivileged. We do relief work in the Roma villages and operate shelters/accommodations for those who find themselves in need of such. We need help with cleaning and maintaining our shelter homes. Cleaning is always a big need, but we can also use people who can do construction and general maintenance too. Additionally, we also we need help with our relief work in the Roma villages. Volunteers will either stay at one of our shelter homes, or with our family - in our personal home. We have a guest quarters at our home where we can host volunteers. We actually prefer our volunteers to stay at our personal home, as we feel they get a better cultural experience this way. Please note, we have a large family so there are many kids running around all the time. You will have your room to retire to where you can relax and have quiet. At times you may need to share a room with another volunteer or you may have the room all to yourself. It just depends on how many volunteers we are hosting at the time.

We live in the heart of Transylvania, near Sibiu, Romania. Our village, Cisnadie, is a small hamlet town nestled in the Foothills of the Carpathian Mountains. It is very rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. There are lots of cultural festivals, outdoors activities, and traditional dining spots.

We need help with cleaning and maintaining our houses. Cleaning is always a big need, but we can also use people who can do construction and general maintenance. Additionally, we also we need help with our relief work in the Roma villages.

You will be provided with free accommodation and food. We will try to provide you with your own room, but you may have to share a room with another volunteer. It just depends on how many volunteers we have at a time. We have free, unlimited wifi.

It is hard to put in words what happended in this place. It was our best experience in work exchange, by far! I stayed here for 2 months. The experience was full and rich, in every way. I was challenged, pushed out of my comfort zone, and rewarded and fulfilled. Being here was quite different then any other workaway I've been to. It's definitely not easy, and the friends I've made, laughter, hugs and love shared make this an experience to remember.
