Fall Workaway in Victoria, BC – Central Location, Active Work, Great Food
We’re looking for up to three Workawayers to join us in Victoria, BC from October 3-11. Couples and friends travelling together are very welcome. Minimum age requirement is 25.
Our home is small, comfortable, and extremely well located in a safe, central neighbourhood. Parks, shops, cafés, bus routes, and the ocean are all nearby, making it an ideal base for exploring Victoria and the surrounding area in your free time. We have Telus fibre high-speed internet, and good home environment.
The Work
The work is active, physical, and mostly outdoors and includes:
garden cleanup and maintenance
planting
general yard work
cleaning
You should be reasonably fit, comfortable working outside in fall weather which can be rainy, and ready to help with a positive attitude during scheduled hours. We’re organized, clear about expectations, and often work alongside you. We ask that during working hours you do the assigned tasks.
Food & Household
We provide good, home-cooked meals in exchange for your help. Our diet includes dairy and eggs. Vegetarian meals are no problem, but please let us know in advance. We’re unable to accommodate vegan, keto, gluten-free, or nut-free diets.
Non-smoking home. No pets.

We’re a friendly, down-to-earth couple who enjoy gardening, cooking, and hosting people from around the world. Past Workawayers often mention feeling welcome, well supported, and appreciated, with a good balance between work and free time.

Our place is very centrally located and near the buses so you will be close to much of what the beautiful garden city of Victoria has to offer.

Thank you so much Rosa and Tobias. We are really grateful for all your help and are sad to see you leave. We would have liked have had more time together and taken you on the boat or somewhere more exciting that the back yard :) We would highly recommend Rosa and Tobias.
