  GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE FARM:
  
  A family farm is becoming a small community place during the season for a sustainable way of living. Hardworking and respecting nature.
  
  Petra (41), Janez (45) and Svit (13 years old), Brin Jan (10 years old) are our names. We are a family which is creating for more than 10 years a nice, pleasant place, where we live and work together a sustainable place with you. You are welcome to join us.
  
  14 years ago we bought a small old farm in a village which is quite isolated (market, post, bus etc. are 10km away). We renovated an old house for our family to live in it for as long as we don't build a new house with natural materials.
  But first, we are building a community house, where us and volunteers can live a sustainable way of life.
  On the property there are still other buildings in a bad shape, so every year we try to make some things better - depends on how many hands we have to help, what material we have and what idea pops out. Janez is educated in natural building and has a lot of experience on it. I, Petra, I work more on a group dynamic and work with people (participants of workshops, volunteers, EVS volunteers, youth exchanges, training courses ...). We also organise workshops on topics of sustainable way of life (natural building, permaculture, wild plants ...).
  
  We grow a lot of vegetables and mostly we eat what we get from nature. So we need a helping hand mostly here: preparing everything for sowing, then helping the veggies to grow and finally to pick up everything that nature gives us and make marmalade, jams, salads, sauces for wintertime. We work in a permaculture and biodynamic way.
  
  We have two children which we raise in contact with nature and they will love it if you would let them show you around nature and hang out with them.
  
  
  We work 5 days per week.
  
  And we need good company too! Because we live isolated and don't have people surrounding that think in a similar way as us.
  
  We need someone that can live and love to live outdoors most of the the time (also kitchen and shower we have outdoor). We can borrow you a tent or a hammock to sleep in it or you can bring your own. We have an off-grid hut where you can stay also.
  
  We eat mostly vegetables and milk products, but also sometimes meat. Our food is simple and delicious.
  
  A lot of things are changing all the time on our property. We are more than happy when volunteers join us.
  
  You are welcome: it matters that you like living in a nature and respect it and of course that you would like to help us.
  
  We live a simple lifestyle, mostly outside, no matter if it rains or if it is cold.
  
  We have a car so we can pick you up from the train station.

  We are professionals in natural building. But the most important from our view, is the opportunity to live with family and other volunteers a sustainable way of live. There is a lot of different jobs to do, so that you find out what you are best in or what you like the most.
  The area where we live is peaceful and in surrounded with nature - nice for walks, run, cycling.

  Ajuda

  So to sum up: we need helping hand with building (mostly natural building with straw and clay), preparing wood for winter and producing vegetables. We also like it if you 'have a touch' for children - to go around for a walk in the nature with them. :) If you have computer skills - we will be most happy to help us update our website or translate part of it in English.
  
  And we need a good company too! We appreciate talks about the fire and we would like to hear your ideas how to make our place a small community.
  
  We need someone that can live and love to live outdoor all the time (also kitchen and shower we have outdoor).

  We eat mostly vegetables and milk products, but also meat. We offer 3 meals per day and in the meantime fruits. Our food is simple and delicious.

  We like to have people around, but of course we also like to have time on our own as a family. We believe in open communication that can solve problems or prevent them. So we try to have good communication with each other and the volunteers.
  
  We have 12 years of experience on the farm with hosting volunteers from abroad and Slovenia - and it became an important aspect of our lives.
