  Hello, we're Tracy and Angus and we live on a 6 acre block in Riverhead, 25 minutes by car from Central Auckland. We're wanting help with clearing trees and plants, weeding, planting, mulching, painting, water blasting, caring for our horses and cleaning up our paddock, forest, and pond. We also have some building jobs to do.
  It's a great place to stay, Workawayers get their own apartment including its own bedroom, kitchen, TV, bathroom and lounge, sunny deck, and an awesome view of the harbour and across to Auckland City. If you have a great attitude and love working outdoors, let us know if you want to come & stay!

  We have travelled extensively ourselves (Australia and the Pacific Island, extensively in New Zealand, America, Asia and Europe). We can help you plan your trip around New Zealand, share New Zealand foods and wines/beers and stories, and help you learn about horses and semi rural life in New Zealand.

  We have a 6 acre lifestyle block, and we welcome your skills if you can help us in our garden (weeding, trimming, mowing, line trimming (weed whacking). mulching, planting or landscaping), or in our forest (tree cutting, wood chopping, or section clearing), or in our paddock (weeding, spraying, or fencing), with our horses (grooming, mucking out, or riding (if you are very experienced), or in maintaining our home (painting, water blasting, cleaning, cooking, or the occasional diy tasks or repair project.

  We have a sunny self-contained loft apartment which is above our large barn. It has a super king bed, large TV, wifi, its own bathroom and kitchenette, plus a separate lounge with a double sofa bed. There's a huge outdoor deck with an outdoor table and chairs, plus a BBQ if you would like. It sleeps either 2 singles, or 2 couples. You have it to yourselves while staying here, we will respect your privacy.

  We are about 20 minutes drive to the East Coast and West Coast beaches for swimming, surfing and sight seeing. We are approximately 4 minutes drive to Riverhead where you can go kayaking and fishing, plus there are two good cafes and bars there as well. Riverhead Forest is excellent for hiking and mountain biking, and it is 5 minutes away. Auckland CBD is about 25 minutes away. While you are here you are welcome to relax in a hammock under a tree, we have lots of board games here, plus there is a beautiful space by our pond to relax.

  We have plenty of off street parking for vans and camper vans. There's even a parking space with fabulous harbour views and sunsets.
