Looking for help with gardening/ homework/ minimal cooking. Available is double room with private bathroom. Location in the country near the beach in South East Ireland about one hour from Dublin. This is a good base to see the rest of Ireland. Driving licence
desirable but must be over 25 years old due to insurance restrictions for car. The children are 9 and 8. They play a lot together, but they do need some help here and there while I'm working. Mostly after school with homework for all hour and then and some encouragement to clean up after themselves. They are pretty easy and well behaved.

On your time off, we've found workawayers like to explore the local area by walking and swimming at the local beach. We live nearly a mile from the beach and near Tara Hill, which is a forested area with beautiful views up the coast as far as Wicklow. The local town of Gorey, in Co Wexford is about four miles away. Dublin is an hour away by bus. We live in the countryside in a beautiful part of Wexford surrounded by beachside resorts. There are a couple of pubs close by and a great a beach that's walking distance - also there are lots of tours around Ireland leaving from Dublin so it's a great base to see the country. Driving licence would be a big plus.

Joan and Dave are awesome parents, wonderful hosts and very easy to get along with. The babies are amazing and we have loved our time with them in Ireland. At first Daniel and I were skeptical about tackling an au pair gig with four small children, but after one week we smoothly settled into the children's routines. Babies can be demanding at… read more times and take a lot of your energy but you do get a lot of time off, they ask of 5 hours per day, but extra hours are required as babies of course do not know what set hours are :P We have been extremely well compensated for ;) We have our mornings and evenings free, a large wonderful room with en-suite, excellent food, weekends off and we have been able to arrange days off when we wanted to go away. It is not in the center of town but Dave and Joan were always happy to drive us into town if we want to go in (10 mins away) or if you ask really nicely they will let you use their bicycles which you could use to go the pubs in the area, beach down the road or just cycle in the absolutely beautiful countryside. I would suggest only messaging if you are travelling and planning a longer stay such of 3 months or more and are wanting to explore Ireland. We have been here for a little under three months and have managed to see so much and I can not believe that our time here is almost over. Here are a few things we have been blessed to see: Wicklow, Wexford, Killkenny, Killarney National Park, The Ring of Kerry, Dublin city life, Galway, walked the Cliffs of Moher and visited a few of the touristy things such as Smithwicks Brewery and Jameson Distillery. Ireland is absolutely breathtaking in general and the one site is more beautiful than the next, apart from enjoying the Irish scenery we have become a part of an incredible family who have immersed us in the Irish country life eating Irish breakfast, with Granny letting us stay on her farm property when we need a break and here at home living in a beautiful big Irish house. The few chores such as laundry, cooking and keeping floors tidy is nothing in comparison to what you get out of this wonderful exchange. Absolutely loved our time here and we are going to be sad to leave as this family and the kids will always have a place in our heart. <3 We love you guys and are extremely grateful to have met you and become a part of the family xxx Thank you for everything
